Ok, my ring is back after two painful weeks of waiting. I still have one small point of contention about this prong work, but at this stage, I'm not even going to say anything. Obviously my standards and the person who did the prongs standards are on two different levels and I'm not even going to deal with this person anymore. I'll go to someone else later, when I'm good and ready. Right now I just want to wear my ring, and understandabley. I think I have a pic here of the big smashed rectangle prongs, I'll try to find and post at the end... I went with a three sided band that I think goes pretty well. I think a straight band would have damaged detail on the side that sticks out. Here are the pics!

big rectangle prongs, stone pushed down into the halo... it was sad

Looks much better isis! And I really like that band with it. I think you did an excellent job! I hear ya on the different level of requirements when it comes to the prongs. I am pretty sure my former jewelers benchperson and I are on totally different PLANETS when it comes to the quality of work I expect and the quality he/she puts out. I agree with you--wear it and enjoy for a while and find someone else who is up to your standards. I'm in the same boat! Once again--I really really love this remount. You did great.

thank you hair girl!! in addition to learning about diamond quality here, i've noticed i've been paying closer attention to craftsmanship, which is great, but it's making me harder to please, darn PS

Gorgeous set, and your e-ring does look better than the before...gosh, that wedding band is just perfect with your e-ring!
