musey Ideal Rock Total Posts: 11,155 Last Post: 11/20/2009 Member Since: 9/30/2006	Well, I haven't gotten anything yet (obviously, since the wedding's not 'til October!) but I've been hinting HARD for a gorgeous fob locket in YG (some of the other PSers have gotten one or will be getting one, after I posted the link/pic a couple of times). If he doesn't take the hint, though, probably nothing. I don't think he's aware of any bride/groom gift traditions, and I don't want to 'inform' him of it because I don't want to force the issue!

The jeweler arranged it all, and he didn't even open the box to look at it until I unwrapped it! Luckily my jeweler knows me well! It fit perfectly (and I take a longer bracelet)!

I'd been bugging him for like 2 years about a "blue ring", but he kept saying they were too expensive (we were high school sweethearts and got married at 21 fresh out of college). I was really suprised when I opened the box at the rehersal dinner!

mimzy Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,812 Last Post: 11/20/2009 Member Since: 7/17/2007	our wedding isn't until december, but he had talked about getting me the Nikon D80 as a wedding gift, which i really can't think of anything in the word that i would want more than that. i'm not going to get my hopes up too high though, because they are pretty expensive. maybe if i point out if could be a combination wedding and graduation gift! i never wear fancy jewelry, so i doubt he would get me anything like that with maybe the exception of a pearl ring to match my pearl set (which i do wear a lot) or maybe an aquamarine ring, which is my birthstone (which would be nice for the wedding, but i probably wouldn't wear it all that often after that!) [it's good to be good to people you don't understand]
