I think I may have found "the one". I just didn't really expect to find it this early in the game. Wedding is June 09 in Maui.
I got a great price on it and another percantage off for ordering during the trunk show..which ends tomorrow. If I wait I won't get the extra percentage off and risk the dress style being discontinued- If I do order it, I take the chance of missing out a whole two more seasons of bridal dresses.. The temptation...
I LOVE it and I wouldn't change anything about it...at the moment. But I'm scared my taste of what wedding "look" I want will...
What to do? If you love too, please weigh in! Thanks

The color will be diamond white and it will be a bit more fitted in butt and hips area (from behind).

Gorgeous! Looks so silky! If it's the one then go for it, but by all means stop looking! There will ALWAYS be something that catches your eye, but this is THE one. I bought my dress already and I am not getting married until June of 09 or even until 2010.

i actually live in hawaii! and i think it would be beautiful for an island wedding. simple, beautiful lines and silky. it's gorgeous and you look great in it even without the alterations! go for it. oh, and i think even if you decide to change your "taste" in the wedding and what it looks like, this dress can cater to a lot of different looks. it's kind of a timeless dress. i love the simplicity of it, yet the boldness and sexiness of the open back. =)

I think that dress could work with just about any setting, from a big church wedding to a more casual one on a beach or in a garden... it's so simple and elegant in the design, and you have an amazing figure to carry it off. You look INCREDIBLE in it!! I really really love it

~SarahLovesJS- Thanks for the re-assurance. It's good to hear from someone else who's gotten their dress ahead of schedule.
~E-Bree- Thanks for chiming in.
~Luci Love- I'm glad you think it would work well for the setting. I was thinking so too, for either the terrace over-looking the ocean or the garden setting- whichever we decide.
~DandiAndi- Glad you concur that it would work for different settings. And thanks for the reassurance that it is flattering.
~FrekeChild- That's the kind of statement I want to make!

..Plus that open back gives me a reason to get back into my workout routine that I've been slacking on.

You've been slacking on a workout routine?!

Honey, YOU look fab! You have an amazing figure.

I wish I were so lucky...off to go plan a "Missrocks Inspired" workout plan...

Beautiful dress, it looks perfect on you, and I love that the veil is so sheer that it doesn't take away from the back view.

Yeah. DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

As for the wedding being in June 2009. Honestly you need to order your gown about, in my opinon, six to eight months out. SO, really it's ONE season you are missing out on. And IF YOU DON'T LOOK AT ANY GOWNS THAT SEASON, then you're not missing out on anything.

I'd get it. It's amazing on you.

But I would absolutely REFUSE to look at gowns, try anything on, or walk INTO a bridal gown store again until my dress is in, except and ONLY to look at bridesmaid's gowns, and even then I would specifically stay the heck away from ANY and ALL wedding gowns.

I say if you love it, and it's in keeping with your general style, go for it--then put those bridal magazines away!! No matter when you buy your dress, there will always be something else that catches your eye :)

~FrekeChild- Thanks for making me feel better about the slacking off. I swear by bag and cardio kickboxing classes.

~Monarch- I feel the same way about the veil! I actually love the way it "softens" the look of the dress. I originally wasn't even going to wear one, until I was forced to try one on- thank you goes out to that SA.

~Gypsy- Thanks for the nice compliments! And very, very good advice given as well. BTW- I returned the 2nd pair of Manolo's today b/c I decided this dress needs a slight platform shoe...or those Christian Louboutins I've been eyeing...  So I will be a three-pair of shoes bride very soon.

~Justwondering- Good point made and thanks for chiming in. BTW, I love your dress!

Does it REALLY COUNT as a three shoe bride if you keep returning them for full price? I mean, really... no harm no flour...um FOWL. NO, FOUL. FOUL. Right.

Whew.

U R Welcome! And thank you for the nice compliments!

BTW, what is that shoe in your avatar? It looks suspiciously like a Louboutin, but I don't see any red on the sole or heel..

Hee hee. I WISH it were a Louboutin! That would be awesome...

It's Guess actually. Bright blue suede. I think the name of it is Harriet-which I only remember because I thought to myself, "What a strange name for such a sexy shoe..."

They are super comfy. Which totally surprised me.

I'm looking forward to your newest shoe addition you mentioned earlier...

Impulse shoe shopper, yes. For some reason this side of me comes out when exposed to drool-worthy shoes. And thankfully stays hidden the rest of the time.

the back is very sexy and you definitely have the figure for it.  my only concern with buying a dress so far in advance would be making sure to still be able to fit in it on the wedding day.  however, you mention that you have to get it taken in here and there anyway, so no problem there, for you.  even though it's probably best to stop looking at other dresses, I think once you've found the one you love, then you know it.  I haven't bought a dress yet, but there's one I love and it doesn't matter how many others I look at, they cannot compare.  now the question is if it would suit me or not... but you already know that about your dress.

That's exactly what I had to do!  My dress is taking forever to get in and I cannot look at any dresses or I start having 2nd thoughts!  That's just my personality.  I'm very indecisive.  It's even hard to look at dresses on PS!

But WOW, Missrocks...you do look absolutely gorgeous in that dress...I love it.

This may sound silly because I don't know you but just by the looks of it, it is SO you!  I love that gown on you.  It looks perfect for you, very gorgeous.  I say get it!
