I've been lurking the past couple of days and have already learned so much.  Is it possible to find a quality diamond for around $4,000?  I would like a RB. 1.05 -1.09 ct.  would prefer SI1 or SI2 (eyeclean).  H, I, J in color.  Am I being realistic??
thank you!

If you're in the J, SI range, you likely can find a well-cut one carat stone for approximately that much.

I'd suggest doing a cut quality search with your parameters to find possible matches.

This one is slightly smaller in weight than you mentioned, but since it is such a great cut, it's measurements are likely bigger than any stone you've seen at a B&M store or the mall.

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-684399.htm#  Ask if this one is eyeclean.

The one from James Allen looks pretty nice! The inclusion is close to the edge. You may have found your stone!!
