Hi Kelly,

I am not sure where you are in NJ, but I have heard great things about Bridal Elegance in West Orange...Are you by there?

Bridal Elegance
632 Eagle Rock Ave
West Orange, NJ 07052
(973) 243-2484

Maybe try going on The Knot and see what shops are in your area.....Other than that, if you are looking for a bargain, you may want to try someplace like RK Bridal in NYC, where they have a lot of inventory and high end dresses at discount prices...You just have to be willing to go through the racks and racks of their gowns.

Good luck!

AVOID Bridal Garden in Marlton. That's my advice.

cdt-- i'm up in north jersey.

yes Dani, i am quite close to West Orange actually and i've been past that shop before too!

i am very anxious about going to look for a dress. i don't have a lot of faith that i'll be able to easily find something that i really like that isn't a budget buster at the same time.  i'm sure this is the same thing that a lot of brides go through.  i guess i'm just looking for my first experience to be a positive one in a nice shop that has some helpful employees and a good reputation.
