I think I found my dress!

espressa Cut Rock Total Posts: 201 Last Post: 8/24/2009 Member Since: 9/14/2007	Some of you might remember me posting a few weeks ago about how I was dreading dress shopping. Well, I finally went dress shopping on Friday with my mom and it went great! I had a lot of fun, and I think I even found my dress. It's Sottero & Midgley's SSM5154-JK (http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/dress.aspx?showAll=1&pageSize=8&style=SSM5154JK). There is a matching jacket available but I tried it on and it really took away from the dress, so I will not be getting it. I've attached the only full picture I could find of it online without the jacket. I would be getting it in diamond white with pewter accents. Strangely enough, this was actually the very first dress I tried on. Nothing else really compared to it after having it on. I tried it on again at the end and wore it for almost a half hour, I didn't want to take it off! We called my sister and had her come over to the shop to see me in it, since I was so excited. So I do think it is "the one" but I want to try on more dresses to be sure. We were only able to get one really bad photo of me in the dress, since the shop doesn't really allow photos but one of the women let us take one really quickly while nobody else was around, hehe. We had to take it with my mom's camera phone though, and it's straight on and not very flattering. But you can get the idea. I'll attach that in the next post.

espressa Cut Rock Total Posts: 201 Last Post: 8/24/2009 Member Since: 9/14/2007	Here is me in the dress. Again, this is not a flattering photo at all, I don't really look so wide in real life, lol. Also, the sample was a size too small, so having it in the correct size should make it look a lot better as well. I cut off my head because I was wearing almost no makeup and I have a really weird expression on my face since I was talking to my mom to make sure she got the photo really quickly. Next time I will try to take better pictures, and will include my head if I don't look so terrible, haha. When/if I buy it, I'm assuming they will let me take all the photos I want.

I made an appointment to go to another bridal shop this Friday that has this dress and another one that I'm interested in trying on - Maggie Sottero's Phillipa (http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=phillipa&line=m&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=8&style=J1091LU). Also, they allow photos, so I'm going to bring my camera and hopefully I can get some better pictures of me in the SSM5154 and any other dresses that I really like. I'll let you all know how it goes!
