Now, it's called double prong, but isn't this just a larger prong with a little V thing at the end to make it look double? Thanks.

Usually they are half the size of regular prongs, so it is really the same. As for the setting, don't worry. The most important thing is to have it set properly and to have the prongs checked regularly. As long as you do that almost all settings are safe.
