tried to do run some searches but couldn't find a thread that gave a complete list of the major grading labs for gemstones. So far all I have is AGTA, AIGS, GIT (which i assume are well accepted). Can anyone give a more thorough list of the reputable grading labs for gemstones. To put it from a diamond perspective: a breakdown of the GIAs, EGLUSAs, EGL-Europes, and lastly the mom-and-pop labs --- just in the gemstone world. thx

That's great. Thx. Was also interested though in the sort of "hierarchy" of the certs. which would be the top most respected so to speak.. also, specifically the two different SSEF labs.. are they both well respected and accurate? is one better than the other? is their any common trade jargon that is used to distinguish between the two (like SSEF Switzerland vs. SSEF Austria or something)? on second look though.. i'm guessing the Austria one is a typo and is something else.. i looked at their website.. they abbreviate for themselves Austrian Gemological Laboratories (AGL) !! how confusing!
