I don't have many details (unfortunetly)

all I know is the following:

14caratgold
solitaire
SI
.33
GH

900 $ CDN (canadian)

I know it's not a lot of money to spend on a ring compared to other people here but we all have our budgets

One last expert opinion would be greatly apprecieted before I take "the moment of truth"

Even w/o more details I'm guessing it still sounds kind of high.

Seems really A LOT to me... On pricescope I found several ideals at $500-600... A simple setting should be between $75-120, so even the total is almost one half of your quoted price.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but $900 Canadian = $655 US.

You're right Hogerhond....it's $655.

$655 sounds reasonable for the stone and setting though what sort of cut is it?

Here are a few to compare to as well. These are AGS 0 Hearts and Arrows cuts, excellent....not just any regular old stone. Add in a white gold solitaire setting for around $150...and you are looking at very slightly more than what you are about to pay, but what sort of cut is your stone?

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS! Now plan very carefully when and where you are going to ask her. This is a moment the two of you will remember forever - so DO IT RIGHT. Check out the Scott Kay website - they have awesome proposal ideas http://www.scottkay.com. Now - keep repeating to yourself, I must keep this secret, I must keep this secret!
