Hi!  I just received a call from a man in Denver who is looking for a trusted jeweler in the area.  He wants to purchase a diamond for his "soon to be" fiance.  He know very little about diamonds, except that he likes the higher colors.  I, of course, directed him to this sight for some helpful advice and education before he ventures out!

Could someone in the Denver area write in if they have a trusted, knowledgeable jeweler or know of one. Any advice would be much appreciated.  He does not have the time to purchase online as Valentine's Day is fast approaching!

Thank you very much.

I would recommend he use Shane Co they are friendly, not pushy and have great high quality pieces.  They are more than the mall stores as far as price, but are MUCH higher quality stones (nothing lab created, and much more sparkly).  I've received great customer service there as well.

ETA: they also have a craftsman on site, so all work is done in house

Tell him to go look at a Shane Classic at the Shane Company.  I have one and love it.  It's an E VS1 and it's gorgeous.  It is an AGS0.

Sparkles, it looks like we were posting at the same time.  Too funny.

I live in Denver and I'd still have him buy from Whiteflash.  I have not been impressed by prices and quality at Shane Co.  It's good for getting a feel for what you'd like, but then buying elsewhere.

Sparkles22, Marcyc, and Cinnamon013, Thank you so much for your replies and advice!  We saved one more person from going to the JEWELRY EXCHANGE and will now become diamond educated because of pricescope and your help!  Job well done!!!

I'm in Denver!  If his name is Corey, can you tell him to just take his time and buy online cuz his woman wants an awesome diamond!

But its not him, I hear that ShaneCo is pretty good from a few of my friends.

I know several people in Denver that have used Craig Studley/AVS Wholesale. They all seem to be happy with him and supposedly his prices are better than Shane. He now has a website - thediamondbank.com

designchica, no, his name is not Corey!  His girlfriend has NO clue of what is yet to happen soon!  I did not realize when writing this post that the pricescope girls in Denver would wonder if they are "the one."  I can assure you that if you read pricescope and have an interest in diamonds, you are NOT the one!  lol

Thank you, designchica, and WestSideStory for your advice.
