Hi All,

I've been reading this forum and all the different sites I can find and I've managed to narrow the choice of my diamond to two. I was hoping that I might get some of the expert opinions of the folks on this board to take a look at them and tell me why i should get either of them.

1. http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/3867
2. http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/3700

At the moment I think I like the look of the look of the idealscope image of number 1 more but then again i like the fact number 2 is vs1. Your thoughts??

Welcome!

You could pick either diamond and not go wrong, they are both fabulous!  Both IS images are excellent, so I really think you have done a great job with these choices! With these diamonds, you won't be able to tell with the naked eye, a difference between VS1 or VS2, so again that depends on what you value more, also H colour for both is a nice middleground.  You could ask the guys at GOG to talk to you about each diamond and let you know more about the personality of each.

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...

Hi zip,

They are both fantastic, really. VS1 doesn't mean it's better to me, but it might to you. Not much of a price difference if it is. I'd call and ask Jon to compare them and pick the better of the two, if it isn't a toss up, which it very well could be.

But, put them on hold while you're thinking!

ETA, didn't see Lorelei's post, sorta reiterated hers.

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

side by side they would be pretty much identical.
Ask Jon if he has a preference and go with that one.
