Hi all -

I just wanted to start a new thread to get an idea of how many people were going to be able to make it to the GTG this weekend at Northpark Mall.

The plan is to meet at Corner Bakery around 12:30 pm.  We can hit a few jewelry shops - do some lunch - and then do a few more jewelry shops.

I do believe Katie said she could make it, and I know Kathryn (iwannaprettyone) and Ringabling were maybes.

So, sign in ladies if you want us to look out for your BLING this Saturday!

Yay, I'm so happy you can make it up!

Last time I saw Katie for lunch, she mentioned you were from Houston.  Do you have family here?

Can't wait to meet you!

Oh, how neat!  I'm excited to meet you both then!

We'll have to do this again the next time I'm in Houston - my husband's family lives down there, and I've STILL never been to the WF buildings.

OK, well.

The plan didn't go very well - but at least Katie and I found each other.

Do you guys want to try and do this again?  Or should we do a GTG in Houston?

What happened?? Any pics? Surely you have some small tidbit to throw us....

Sadly, because none of us had any way to contact each other aside from the site, Katie and I waited for about an hour, asking pretty much anyone who looked like they were waiting for someone if they were Maria, or Kathryn.

I don't know if anyone showed, but hopefully if they did, they don't hate me.

I would love to meet you, too!

I'll have to get busy taking pics of my new goodies.  I have the new ring that I posted in the RHR thread, and a concave cut spess garnet that I had set in a martini setting.  I love it - it's my new daily pendant!

Hahaha - I thought iwannaprettyone mentioned she was going to be wearing bells . . . you would have matched!!

I'll make that if we get another one of these planned, we all actually get there.  I'll probably post my cell phone number and hope it doesn't get deleted.

this just wasn't a good day for me. . . this time of year seems like my DD is invited to a birthday party every Sat & Sun until June!!!  I would love to do it any Tues or Thurs though!

Lauren,

Today just wasn't my day!

I'm sooooo sorry I didn't get to meet you today!  I set the time on my alarm clock instead of the alarm, and I woke up about an hour off my scheduled plan.  I got there about 50 minutes late by the time I got parked and in the restaurant, but I didn't see ya'll!  I scouted around all the tables looking for a mousepad or a gray shirt--I walked around the mall and ran to all the jewelry stores to see if you guys were browsing, but no luck.  I emailed Katie on my cell while I was still in the mall, but she called me back at about 2:30 when she got home.  She did give me your number, but my phone wouldn't connect your number! argghh!

We stayed for a few hours looking at jewelry-- I tried on some things at BB&B  and made a decision on my wedding band.

Anyway, she did mention that you had talked about setting something up in Houston at WF, and I thought that would be a great idea.

I just got home, but I wanted to let you know that I feel terrible about not getting there on time!

Oh, honey - no worries!  We were in the first booth on the right as you walk into Corner Bakery - we had no WF mouse pad, so we put PS on a piece of paper and stuck it in one of those number holders on all of the tables.

So happy you made a decision on your ring!  The funny thing about looking for people I don't recognize was checking them out by their rings.  I saw one or two girls who looked lost, and I was like nope - that's not CP's ring . . .

I'll be in Europe in March, and Tahoe in April, so maybe we could do something in early May in Houston.

OH MY *Expletive deleted* *Expletive deleted*, Kathryn!  I certainly hope you're ok!  Feeling better now, and such.

*sending off big hugs to you*

I really hope you're ok - the GTG should have been the last thing on your mind, poor thing!

It was just a bad weekend for everyone.  You want to try and do this again in a couple of weeks?

Hope you feel better Kathryn! What a crazy weekend.

Lauren, I think I DID see you.  There was a girl wearing a gray ribbed sweater in the first booth right when we walked in, but I thought I knew what Katie looked like enough to recognize her.  If ya'll were there at 12:50 then I walked right passed you!

Bleeehhh... I should have just yelled out, "LAUREN! KATIE! Where AAAARE you!!" lol..

Two brunettes - one with super long hair?  Katie was sitting across from me in a black top, but sometime close to us leaving she put on a red/white seersucker blazer.

I knew I should have posted which purse I was carrying, or something else to distinguish us.

For the record, I carry this thing all of the time now - in black - http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=10538&category_id=161

So, ya know, for next time.

hehe i am so sorry that the GTG didn't come along as planned but reading this thread sure gave me a giggle!! talk about ships passing in the night!

i guess one of the good things about my face being all over PS for years now is that no one has ever had a problem finding me at GTG's hehe.

next time you guys should leave note with the hostess or whoever what the party is and that way people can ask when they walk in! hope you guys try again and have pictures to show!!
