Okay,
So I knwo you guys are going to hate me, but let me start from the beginning.  Brad and I have been looking at -rings for about 9 months.  When we first started looking at them we went into a B&M called neckers in davenport IA and they had the most BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND called the cushette, but of course, they were the only carriers of this diamond.  Well needless to say when we moved to TX and I knew that diamond was made similar to the cushion cut, I just assumed that I wouldn't find it and decided to look at the cushion cut diamonds.  Well, I just was on GOG watching videos...and they posted a cushion compared to their new CUSHETTE diamond!  It's pretty much like a cushin but it's cut to preform Ideal to the light return!  Here is the link

I am still considering the H&A and the star 129 and possibly the eighternity.  I guess it all depends on the price because they are all so beautiful.  I have decided I am going to probably get a simple pave solitaire or just a plain simple band...who wants to take away from something so perfect in all it's beauty?(at least when you don't have the diamond to see in the settings first!) :)  I don't want to get a mounting that will "take away" from my beautiful rock.  So I'll just upgrade my setting later!  I love the look of the cushion but it doesn't sparkle the way the star 129 or the H&A does...let's just face it.  But the cushette is up there with them in my opinion.  Tell me what you guys think of it...

I think it would be really really cool to get the very first diamond I fell in love w/ that my fiance seen with me.  But there are so many other pretty ones I'll just keep watching the video comparsions and see what jumps out at me more.

I think you should take your time and learn as much as possible and find what you love best  No one is going to hate you, this is a big purchase so of course find your favorite diamond, you are going to live w/it, not us, so enjoy your search!!   The cushette is a beautiful stone!

I think so too, it has the pinfire sparkles of the star 129 and the shape of a cushion...seemilngly best of both worlds.  I will find out more tomrrow and watch more videos...prehaps pay more visits to B&M's but they are very very pushy and I hate wasting their time.
