I hope I have come to the right place. I can't seem to find a ring that matches all my girlfriend's criteria. I can come really close, but I just can't find it. Can anyone link me to some rings with these characteristics? 1) Dainty ring. The thinner the better, especially at the end opposite the main diamond. I can get the other criteria in massively thick rings, but she is thin, beautiful, and petite and wants a ring to match. 2) Gradually getting wider towards the top at the main diamond without splitting. Wider as in if you looked down at the ring from the top. 3) Pave or micropave sides. 4) Just a single round diamond in the middle. I keep seeing this with the center stone surrounded by tiny diamond specks. But I simply want one round diamond. Probably in the 1/2 carat to 1 carat range. The diamond size depends entirely on the ring cost. I can get 3 of those four criteria very easilly. The standard split-shank rings are so close, but not quite what she wants. I'd perfer it in white gold, but any other non-yellow-gold would work. I'll be back tomorrow, crossing my fingers that anyone has seen this somewhere. Thanks a lot, Dullard |

Are you looking for something like this? http://store.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry/view/2304/1013/ If so....one of my co-workers has a ring very similar with a larger center stone (I'd guess about 2.5 carats) and the setting is gorgeous. Good luck!

These are not exactly what you are after. Most of the rings I would assume will be thinner at the bottom than at the top. So I'll give it a go! http://www.bluenile.com/product_details.asp?oid=5848&page=1&col=1&row=4&pos=10&set_shape= http://www.bluenile.com/product_details.asp?oid=5410&page=1&show_all_pages=1&col=2&row=6&pos=17&set_shape= http://www.bluenile.com/product_details.asp?oid=6708&page=1&show_all_pages=1&col=3&row=10&pos=30&set_shape= Hope that gives you some starting points. I know the first isn't pave, just a personal fave! Good luck! |

Thanks for the help so far. Missrocks, that is the best match I've seen so far. Thanks. Do you know where that ring is sold (website link would be perferable)? I am a bit worried about the price though. That picture appears to be shown with a center stone that would be outside of my price range. Does anyone else know of a similar setting to that Michael Bondanza Madison Pave?

This Tacori is similar, but has sapphires as well. I would guess that a real Tacori retalor might have it in all diamonds Tacori taper 1 Oh, or these are closer from knox. Lame titles are theirs. Pave milgrain Simply divine just divine

Here are some beautiful rings that I think may match exactly what you're looking for: http://antiqueengagementrings.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1816 http://antiqueengagementrings.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1796 http://antiqueengagementrings.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1785 And here's Musey's Vatche setting (I hope it's OK that I'm posting a pic) - you could always get one of these with a round diamond: ![]()

Thanks again everyone. The Tacori ring is a nice ring, I think it was a ring very much like that is what originally inspired my girlfriend. The Knox rings are quite nice, and very close to the criteria too. But I think Vespergirl's first link, #1816 is the best match I've seen. It does match all the criteria that I listed and it is a beautiful ring. The only thing it doesn't match is my girlfriends minor criteria for the center stone to have as little elevation as possible. But, I think she has said that she'll bend that criteria if she sees a great ring (which is why I didn't mention it earlier). The price is right too, at that price I may even be able to bump the stone up to 3/4 carat instead of the 3/5 carat as listed. Now to contact that company to see if they can make it in a size 3.5 ring. The wedding band shown there is pretty awful. My girlfriend will have to wear the wedding band only at work, so a curved band won't do. Curved bands just don't look good alone. But I'm sure we can find a suitable straight match somewhere. Next on my to-do list: get tickets and an itnerary for our trip to Italy. I'm certain, she'll like to be proposed to in a romantic place in Rome. But, that is a topic for another thread.

Yay, I'm glad it's a match! I have a feeling that the jewelers at the company will be able to make some modifications to the height of the setting if she prefers. I also don't like curved wedding bands - they have some great straight bead-set bands on that site that would look like a good match - and I like it when there's a little space between the two rings - check out this wedding band to go with it - only 2 mm, so delicate: http://antiqueengagementrings.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=485 I think that Italy is a great place to be proposed to! Rome, Venice & Florence are all gorgeous and romantic cities. For a more affordable and exclusive option, I would also check out Croatia - my family has a home on one of the islands in the Adriatic Sea there, and it's a true hidden gem - it looks just like Northern Italy, but more affordable (for now). Lots of celebrities are starting to buy land there, so you should go before it gets expensive. Dubrovnik and Split are the best cities on the coast there to visit. Congrats on your impending engagement!

Hi there! I have been looking for the Madison ring, and am having a hard time finding it...althought I did find the following rings, and hopefully something here will fit.... Precision Set Flushfit Engagement Ring with Pavé Sides Engagement Rings: Simon G Platinum Bead Set Ring Pavé-Set Diamond Dual Row Engagement Ring Setting in 18k White Gold (3/8 ct. tw.) Knife Edge Pavé-Set Diamond Engagement Ring Setting in 18k White Gold (1/4 ct. tw.) Also, if you find yourself struggling to find the ring, I would suggest collaberating with a designer to custom design and build your ring so it is spot on! ____________________________ |

I too wanted a dainty ring. I looked for one that didn't have too much bulky metal between my fingers. Here's mine. It only cost $599 and is white gold with channel set diamonds. It sits well with my wedding band too. I was afraid with pave stones they might fall out. Hope this helps.![]() Junebug |
