I cannot even begin to fathom how a parent can take his own children and throw them off a bridge, into a river.  All because he was feuding with their mother and he wanted to 'make her suffer'.....

those poor, poor babies... my heart is truly broken.

Saw this article earlier tonight and was obviously appalled.  The article I read also mentioned that this guy had a drug problem...that's the only thing I can think of besides being mentally ill that would cause a person to commit such a horrible crime.  Very, very sad.

I can't bring myself to read the article, Sophie.  I can't even begin to imagine.

I really can't comment on this. Beside being too heartbreaking to even think about, most of my thoughts are not appropriate for a public board.

I can sum it up by saying, I wish they would throw him off the highest bridge as punishment.

"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

I couldn't read it.  I heard a snippet and that was all I needed.  There are no words my intellect can form.

Need not worry while here on earth, behind bars even the lowest life criminals will hunt him.  He will forever have to have one eye open.  Not even a guard will have his back continually.  No peace.  No rest.  His living will be the worst form of punishment...torture...torment...anguish.  And then there is tomorrow.

This makes me so sad, so for the whole family actually and especially sad for the kids and the mother.  I am sure she will feel some sort of guilt (even though it is completely his fault) that maybe she could have done something to change it all.  I can't imagine how she must feel.

Here is another story that completely breaks my heart.  Stupid drunk driver kills a mother and four children, one of whom was only 8 weeks old.  The father and two other kids are in serious condition at the hospital.  He drove the wrong way on the highway and crashed head on into their minivan.

All he has is a  cut on his chin.  Stupid idiot drunk driver.  He came from a family party.  It was new years eve.

This is appalling, but what's even worse is that there are articles about similar instances literally EVERY day in the newspaper!  When WILL it stop?

This is horrible, truely heartbreaking.  I hope that this man suffers to the fullest extent of the law for what he did to those precious angels

I second that!

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...
