For Christmas my FI bought me a nice necklace but it was too long for me so we took it back and he said that I could get something else. I didn't see anything at the store so I decided to search online. I decided that I didn't want another necklace b/c I wear the one that he got me a couple years ago everyday and it is perfect. I decided that I wanted a new pair of diamond studs. So the search began and I was going to purchase a pair of RSG from Whiteflash but I couldn't decide on four prong or martini settings and I also wanted to look at some stores in the area to compare. Well, as I was driving through our little downtown area here in Rochester, MI, I saw an antique jewelry store and decided to look around and I am so glad that I did b/c I found a pair of beautiful .50ctw oec's! So, enough rambling and story time, here are some pics! (I don't know how to post more than one pic at a time so there will be a few posts with pics)

First an ear shot:

OOHHH!! How pretty!  And they look great on your ears too (they look much bigger than your stated carat weght)!

However, they look more like OMCs to me - not that it matters.  He-he, I love OMCs, I got a pair of them myself

Congrats, and wear in good health always!

Those are so unique and lovely, enjoy them!

The stones may be old, but the mountings are new.  I ordered those settings in platinum for my loose diamonds eight years ago.  That's the Stuller Platinum Lotus mounting.  Mine have screw backs though but I believe they can come either way.

Very pretty!!

Thank you all for your kind words! I love them and was very excited to show them off to all of you! I love looking at everyone's beautiful jewelry and stones so when I got these I knew that I would have to take pics and post as soon as possible!

HeartingDiamonds~Why do you say that they look more like OMCs? I love both cuts and so either way I love them, but I am always interested in learning more about the differences. I thought that most OMCs are more squarish?

Gemgirl~The settings are new. The store owner said that she recently began using these settings instead of the normal four prong basket ones. I really like them b/c they are a little something different. Also, they are white gold.
