Hi, i really love the the signature HW split prong RB with tapered side baguettes, and am considering replicating this with a jeweller so trying to gather as much information and pictures about the design. 2. Side view of split prong and tapered baguettes - I have zero pictures of this. If anyone owns this ring, can you help post some profile pictures for me pls? Else anyone else with a smiliar design by Leon Mege eg wouuld help me greatly too. I just want to have something to start with at least and try and get as close to HW design as possible given i am soooo in love with it but decided instead of splurging on the brand i should perhaps consider a custom route n get a bigger centre stone even. |

See if this thread helps. http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=35438&pageNo=2 ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. Thank you, the profile pic really helps. We bought the diamond over the weekend, its a 1.5c D/VS2 (wonder if we should have gone for a VS1, and to keep the buget intact maybe gone down to an E instead...any views on that?) I am meeting with the designer today. While I still like the HW design of RB with side baguettes ALOT, I am not 100% confident they will be able to reproduce it to be as elegant and as delicate as the HW original. They have never done HW reproductions before so I do not have a sample of the end product to gauge what it may look like although their workmanship in general looks pretty good. They have said I am able to change my mind and opt for something else if I am not happy with the end product, and I have found a simpler design to 'fall back on'. Im abit torn at the moment, what do you think i should do? Give the HW design a shot or save myself the heartache and go straight for the simpler design? It takes about 3 weeks for them to work on it, and if Im not happy, I will have to wait another 2 or 3 weeks for them to work on the second design...Any advice appreciated!

I think you did exactly the right thing in choosing VS2, also with the D it is a very nice quality combo! I think let the designer know your concerns then you should have a much better idea of how to proceed. I have a HW style solitaire without baguettes, made by a jeweller, he did a fabulous job, but I think ask as many questions as you can to get the reassurance you need. I would give the HW a shot as that is truly what you want, if the designer inspires your confidence then you might end up with an amazing ring! ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. I LOVE that ring, DH doesn't feel the same as I do about it and I've bummed. If that's the one you really want you have to try, if you don't you may have regrets and you NEVER want to regret!

Thank you for inspiring me to stick to what I want! Since I have a 'free' option i might as well give it a shot! It might take longer to have the e-ring on my finger but you're right, at least I have no regrets at the end of it! will be off to see the designer in 30mins now, can't wait!! :)

Let us know how you get on! That is such a classic setting style, I really hope it works out for you!
