Orbaya, my e-ring is an RKG bridal setting. I too ADORE the company's work, but some strange things have happened to his company in the past year. There was a really large burglary and then things just get muddy after there. My jeweler told me that they stopped production on the bridal line, but it's still on the website (but the site has remained unchanged since 2006). The jeweler that I bought my ring from stopped selling all RKG and I noticed that Pearlman's has put all RKG on clearance. There are a couple FABULOUS buys left on the site though if you're in the market. I posted awhile back asking about what happened, and we all agreed that it was a strange situation, but nobody seemed to know anything about the pieces or what's happened to the company. If you do a search from RKG or Krementz, the thread will probably pop up. Such a bummer...we've since moved, but I used to love going and getting my ring cleaned at my old jeweler's so I could ogle the pieces in the RKG case.

Oh wow. I never heard any of the stuff. Their pieces are absolutely stunning. I've seen the bridal mountings on Pearlman's and keep checking to see if any colored stone ones show up. Thanks for the info!

I thought I saw a colored stone piece on Pman's a few weeks ago, but I could be crazy. Every now and then I search E-bay too but just find a bunch of the company's vintage costume jewelry. You aren't in the midwest, are you? Bremer Jewelers in Peoria IL is where I got my ring - who knows, they might have some of their Krementz left in some type of clearance. They do have a website but it doesn't really give you much beside what companies they retail and their store hours.

I'm in the Northeast. There is a local jeweler that carries Richard Krementz, but they don't have much. I was hoping to see some handshots or something. I'm not looking to buy one right now because I think I'm going to be making another jewelry purchase in the very near future.

Sorry I can't be of more help. It is kinda surprising that nobody seems to have one, isn't it? I just think the gemstones are gorgeous. I went backed and looked Pearlman's has two...they have a 15k sapphire and a much more moderately priced citrine. Both rings are really simple, but gorgeous. I'd give my right arm for that sapphire! Do you know of anyone else that retails Krementz online? Whenever I do a search, I come up with almost nothing.

I purchased one of the Krementz settings from Pearlman's last year. I had it set with a congo tourmaline and it is spectacular. I had seen (and drooled over!) the setting a local B&M many years ago for easily twice what I paid I couldn't be happier with my little work of art. Apparently the file is too large. Here is my post with pics from Pearlman's site. I still havent't taken shots of the completed project. Link to ring pics.

WOW, Dogmom! That is a gorgeous setting and looked spectacular with those deep colors in the photoshopped pic. I'm a bit of a colored stones newbie - what color is a congo tourmaline? Is it a pink? Can't wait to see the finished product (please promise us hand shots!!!).

Hi Elmorton! If I can borrow a digital camera, I'll get some shots. I REALLY wanted a tsavorite garnet as I love the deep green with blue undertones. But I didn't realize how expensive they had gotten. Dan Stairs cut the tourmaline for me and I am very happy with it. It is a lovely green with a hint of yellow undertones and really pops in this setting.

Gorgeous Dogmom! I had seriously considered buying a setting from Pearlman's and setting a colored stone in it. Unfortunately, the setting I LOVE is about $500 too expensive and I don't know if it can be sized down. I have been coveting it for MONTHS. If I could get it for $2500 and it could be sized down I would buy it in a heartbeat! ![]() ![]()

Bumping this thread b/c of new info - last week when I was at my the jeweler's (where we purchased my Krementz e-ring), I was told that the company was "a pain to deal with" and that's why they chose to stop working with Krementz (I believe I read/was told that the bridal line was discontinued by Krementz after the heist that affected their company, but my jeweler has since stopped to order any new gemstone pieces). My e-ring was ordered as a sz 8 and Krementz shipped a sz 7, so there was indeed a hassle with my ring, but even that said, I was honestly sortof surprised to hear that problems were common. I wonder if it was their business practices that also caused other jewelers (Pearlman's) to discontinue the line. Just thought I'd add what I'd heard to the convo.
