This may sound rather silly, but my boyfriend HATES my diamond earrings. With the height difference between us, every time I reach up to hug him the prongs scratch the side of his face. Usually it is just an annoyance, but on a few occasions I have actually left marks. Whoops! I spent a few hours looking today but couldn't find any princess cut earring settings that didn't look "scratchy". Anyone have any good options for me? The actual stones aren't large, maybe .2ct each.

What about bezel settings? Or drop/dangle bezel settings with a leverback? |

Bezel set earrings will help with preventing some scratching but the corners might still poke him a little. Dangles like a leverback may also help with changing the height a little.
