I was so happy and excited and I should have worn water-proof mascara b/c it definitely ran all down my cheeks! I was kinda hoping it would happen on Christmas eve, as he was driving 3 1/2 hours to visit me, exchange gifts, go out to dinner with my whole family, then drive back home the same night...BUT I didn't want to get my hopes up for nothing at the same time. I was just happy to see him! So heres the proposal story...he presented me with a beautiful tiffany blue card with wonderful words that he wrote on the inside, then a tiffany blue book that he made, complete with a big white ribbon to hold the pages together. In the book he put photos of places in Pittsburgh that are special to us...for example: the extra block that he used to walk home from the school of pharmacy so that he could walk with me for one block longer, dave and andys ice cream where we had one of our first dates, etc. Then at the end was a photo of the parking place that we were in 3 years ago when he told me that he knows he will marry me. Then there was a blue envelope with my ring inside! It was so perfect!! My ring is so beautiful and I cant stop staring at it! Its a 1.70 carat tiffany solitare in the platnium setting, I color, VS1 clarity. I love it and I love my Fiance!! * March 14, 2009 *
