Does anyone have any unique ideas for the reception exit? I've seen bubbles, rose petals and sparklers but I would like something a little different.

Thanks

When I read the title to your thread, I first thought Jet Power Pack...you know the rocket thing?  You know a fast exit.  Not sure why.  (I'm a whack job).

But you mean something festive in which everyone participates.  There are those streamers on a stick.  Or silly string.  Just kidding.  You could rent a bubble machine.  I think it is hard for all the guests to try to get the bubbles up in the air at the same time for the best effect.  But a machine could surely do it!

At my brothers wedding, I made long steams silk roses that the bud pouch contained the rice grains.  (this was 26 years ago before rice was learned not wise to use.  I have no idea if this rose bud is still done or not)  So I was wondering if you had thought of a more creative way to present and hold the bird seed or petals?  Or is it the actual stuff that you want more creative?

What venue, climate or season will your wedding be held?  §

We used lavender buds. It was pretty, smelled fantastic, and safe. Of course, my hair spray had melted by that point so they clung tight to my hair, but ah, well, birdseed would have too. We put it in little organza drawstring bags. My DH got pelted with the FULL bags, which was good fun. And the leftovers are in our dresser drawers now.

I like the bubbles but always worry about staining and slipping. The sparklers are pretty but FIRE can be an issue... and our guests had spent a lot of time at the open bar, so that would have been bad for us. In short, nothing is perfect... go with what appeals the most.

and I kind of like the jetpack idea!

oh, just be sure that whomever is driving you HAS the car keys!!! Our exit was sort of delayed when I thought we didn't have the car keys! They were in the MOH's purse though, luckily, and we got out of there just in time!
