As some of you know, I'm currently debating between what's "safe" and what looks amazing/unique in my wedding band search.

So in the spirit of uniqueness, what wedding band(s) do you absolutely love, but probably would never buy/wear for whatever reason? Doesn't match, too unconventional-looking OR not timeless enough, etc.

Pictures, please!

Easy question to answer for me! This was a band that sold way over estimate at Sotheby's in 4/06 [It is, therefore, not mine! Snarl! ]. I love it and plan to have one made [ETA: Oops, I didn't read your whole question! Sorry. This band is one that I would absolutely wear so you can disregard my post as nonresponsive]:

There is not a band out there that I wouldn't wear, at least on my right hand.  There are lots that don't go with my e-ring, however.  I would love an asscher eternity, like canuk-gal's, or maybe a Beverly K.  I also LOVE the Tiffany Bubbles ring, which I have on my wishlist for a RHR some day!

ETA:  Oh no!  I read it wrong, too.  I would totally wear any of these.  I can't think of a band I wouldn't wear.

I can never decide if I would wear this as a wedding band or on my RH at all...when DH and I were choosing wedding bands I really wanted something floral/antique-y/vintage-looking, but our jeweler talked me out of that option and into a simple band of princess cuts in plat.  His rationale was that the band I ended up with would never go out of style because vintage was really "in" right now but wouldn't always be.    Another case of "if I had known then what I know now," I guess.  I really love the mixed-metal color look, aka rose gold, yellow gold, white gold together, but I don't know that I'd love it so much after wearing it for a few months.  I still covet anything that looks similar to this Beverly K. ring, or anything by Simon g., or Kirk Kara.  Yummmm.

I love that simon g rose gold and white gold flower band, I don't know the name of it and I also love that jean schlumberger (?) band with the 16 diamonds and the X's.  I forgot the name of it.

I really, really want this french cut baguette band.  Did I mention I really want it?  I think it would look awesome with my ring but I was worried about how it would hold up with every day wear.  I have a Ritani Endless love band for my future wedding ring and I think someday I will get this band for an anniversary.  At least that is my plan!

Any of these:

046V-8WA5
087V-PAS
5241-8WA
353V-PA15
447-8WALS

The site won't let me download the pictures; you'll have to go to OGI to see them.  I have a 3/4 eternity with RBs, milgraining, and engraving.  I'd love to get a companion band; I really love the full eternity with baguettes, with the same milgrain and engraved details.

Wouldn't the diamond sapphire 3-row ring or the 2-row diamond ring be great as a RHR?!

Well, Kristy Darling and Wallermama found it in San Francisco I think but here it is online.  They said in person it looks like a band carved out of diamonds.  I really need to win the lottery so I can afford all these gorgeous bands!

Ah! I LOVELOVELOVE the Tiffany Etoile band, but it's so darn expensive for a 3-row pavé band...Excel has the replica for $5200, the original is $7200...(not much of a difference in $, IMHO)...

Well, a girl can always dream...right?!

I can't post the links or photos either because the website won't let me, but I covet:

Christopher Designs #N19R and/or #N19R-2CUSH. http://www.christopherdesigns.com/ --> Collections --> Rings --> Bands --> Wedding & Anniversary --> 8th and 9th bands to the right.

Ritani #23026BPCRP-611. It's under their wedding bands about halfway through, the description says "Platinum with bezel set princess diamonds surrounded by micropave' set diamonds .65ctw. Available in various diamond weights."

I really really like bands to the point where I might prefer one to a more traditional e-ring setting when the time comes, and these three have been favorites of mine for a looong time.

Octavia, in the process of looking for the ritani you linked, I found four NEW bands to be obsessed with.

First, the half-bezel "pinch" eternity band:

Then, all three versions of the carved leaf + diamond "romantique" design:

and

AND, perhaps my favorite of the three:
