This is the diamond I chose through Blue Nile.  Looking at the specs, does it look good?

Shape and Style:   Round Brilliant
Measurements:    7.10 - 7.13 x 4.38 mm
Cut Grade:    AGS Ideal 0
Light Performance:   0
Proportion Factors:    0
Finish:   0
Polish:    Ideal
Symmetry:    Ideal
Color Grade:    AGS 3.0 (J)
Clarity Grade:    AGS 6 (SI2)
Carat Weight:    1.33
Fluorescence:    Medium Blue
Comments:
"AGSL 8245501 H&A" has been inscribed on the girdle of this diamond.
 Table:    53.0%
Crown Angle:    34.4
Crown Height:    16.1%
Girdle:    0.7% to 2.9%
Pavilion Angle:   40.7
Pavilion Depth:   42.8%
Star Length:   54%
Lower Girdle Length:   77%
Total Depth:    61.6%
Culet:    Pointed
$5,252.00

I have until this end of today to make sure I am 100% sure that this diamond is it.  I was told by Blue Nile that it was 100% eye clean (viewing from the top, 6" away, 20/20 vision)  and that it did not show any warmth and was in their gemologist's opinion, closer to an "I".

Thanks so much!

ETA:

On the HCA it scored:
1.1 TIC using angles
.7 TIC using crown and pav %'s.

Using GemAppraisers DIY Grade Calculator it came back a 1A.

Girlfriend you crack me up...you are crazier than me! How many different stones have you had in the last month? Why the frantic exchanging?  Know, I am NOT judging, but I feel like you and I are kindred spirits in our searching for the perfect stone.

So I put it out to you, will this stone be GOOD ENOUGH for you? What are you looking for? And when you find it go ahead and get it.  Don't settle for less, you already know by your past reset fever, that nothing will right a wrong diamond.  Or if you can't afford it now, make sure you are buying from a vendor with a good upgrade policy.

Did you peruse Whiteflash yet?  The J's on here from them have been stunning & their upgrade policy seems to rock. What is BlueNile's like?  I am not a fan of their settings, but they seem like a good company.

Funny, cuz i still love your first, your quest, and your whiteflash settings.  Want to sell me the whiteflash setting? What did you do with it?   I know you had a chip on your princess & got your insurance to replace the stone..

Just trying to save you from choosing the wrong stone....breathe.....take your time....don't rush.

Divergrrl *************************** Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got.... :-P

Ditto!!!

Jeannine! How are you??  I don't think I've seen a post from you in ages?

You know, the perfect diamond was always my 1.06 princess.  It was the right size, right color, right clarity and had the sentimental aspect that DH gave it to me and that we picked it out together.   I almost wish I had never started my crazy reset saga Not that the chip had anything to do with it. It wasn't under the prong, but rather next to it.

Anyway, I chose to go with a round because I knew I would always compare a new princess to my old one, and DH agreed that since I was getting a new stone, to start fresh.  The .91 round that I bought from Blue Nile was lovely and the setting was gorgeous but after a week, it just started.... to shrink.  Not small, but smaller than what I was use too.  Blue Nile has a 30 day return policy so I sat on it for a few extra days before finding 3 other diamonds that were 1) bigger than the .91, 2) had great numbers and 3) was told were eye clean and colorless depsite being SI's and I/J's.

To go bigger and stay relatively within my budget, I did have to loose the trellis setting so I went with the standard 6 prong platinum setting.  Unless I LOVE this setting, it's not THE setting.  Since I did spend $500 on it, I am keeping for a while while I take a break from this whole engagement ring drama.  Maybe next summer for my 31st birthday I'll start looking for a new setting as a b-day gift?  Who knows   Or maybe I'll call it a day and leave it be.

I have looked at Whiteflash, extensively actually, but went with Blue Nile because my original e-ring an my wedding band came from there, it just seemed like a natural choice.  I've had nothing but great customer service there and they have a (what I think to be) generous 30 day retuirn policy.  I don't plan to or want to upgrade. 1.33 sounds huge to me already!

I am a bit nervous at the new diamond.  It's a J, SI2 and even though BN says its eye clean and colorless, I'm worried it won't be.  I've poured over the J's in platinum thread that Mara started a while back, and all the J's look totally colorless!

I'm not sure I'm allowed to say where I sent my WF 3 stone setting too...?  It's the popular jeweler here who has the online consignment

Now that you're getting the bigger stone in a diff. setting ... can I tell you something?

*whispers*

That round stone in the trellis setting looked like an EYE from the top view. An eye with a blingy eyeball but ... I'm kinda glad you're re-setting.

I have until this end of today to make sure I am 100% sure that this diamond is it.

Where’s the time pressure coming from? I thought Blue Nile gave a 30 day inspection period.

They do, that pressure was what I put on myself because I wanted the new ring in my hot little hands by Christmas.  The first ring had to go back, then go through Quality Review, etc.  Then the new stone had to be pulled, set, and mailed.  I knew all of that took some time.  I'm thankfully getting it well before Christmas!
