I'm going to be in NJ from the 23rd of December to the 3rd of January. I'm busy on the 24 and 25th... and on the 31st and 1st, but otherwise I'm free, and would REALLY REALLY love to meet some of the NJ, NY, and Philly area PSers if anyone has some time to meet. Since I've moved out here I've met so MANY fabulous west coast PSers and had so much fun at the GTG, I think it would be lovely to do it again, out there. Any takers?

Hi, Gypsy!  I could probably go, depending on the time of day and the location. If it's Dec. 26 through 28, I could only go in the evening.

If the date works out, I'd love to come. It's about a 4-hour drive for me to NYC, but I'd be more than happy to make the trek. The only date I'm able to do, though, is Sunday, 12/30. I'm already committed to meeting up with the Boston gals on Saturday, the 29th. If that date works for everyone, I'd love to come, but if not, I'll try next time around. _____________________ |

Hi Gypsy! I would LOVE to get together!! I am available on the 26th and 27th, but if you want to do Sun the 30th I will see what I can do....I may be able to get the day off...Let me know....I know Blushingbride and Janine may be interested as well!!! Sounds fun!!!

I'm available that Sunday. Let's see if the date works out for everyone. I'm getting excited! Then we need to decide WHERE we are meeting (first, what state... sounds like NYC seems to be winning, which works for me. Then where in that state or city, lol).

I've been looking for an excuse to come to NYC. I need to be down in that direction to pick up some wine I finally found. Maybe I could do both. I'm flexible on dates but I also plan to meet the other Boston ladies on the 29th. aljdewey - maybe we could ride down together?

Okay... Dani, can you get the day off? Cause I think that the 30th is sounding good. In NYC, as our Boston friends are going to be driving quite a ways. I wonder if someone can suggest a nice place to meet for some bling browsing and some lunch?

I'll talk to DH and see about the logistics with the wine and we can decide what to do on the 29th [unless we can find a way to communicate prior to that - where are you? I am in southern NH]. I would love to have an excuse to go to NYC! I may even want to do some shopping! ============================ |

No one needs to ask permission to join in. Everyone is invited who can make it. I'm planning on the 30th. I'm blocking it out. NOW... WHERE shall we meet? Madam Bijoux do you have any preferences or suggestions (pleasebringyourRA). And is lunch either before or afterward okay for everyone? Any suggestions of places to eat? I'd like to make reservations as it looks (wonderfully) like we are going to be a large party!

Good morning! The 30th is good for me. If we meet in mid-town Manhattan, the Trump Tower has some nice restaurants and it's close to all the jewelry stores. I'm not sure whether all the stores will be open on a Sunday, though. The restaurants in the theater district are all good, but some of them will probably want reservations. We should pick a place with good lighting for diamond gazing.

Oh man, I've been waiting for a NYC gtg and now I'm not going to be around for it. We're taking the baby to Georgia to hang with DH's cousins who just bought a huge house on Lake Lanier. I'm so sad to miss it. Besides seeing all the bling, I would love to meet all of you in person (especially my favorite l&d nurse!). I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I'm in the Philly area, but Sunday is the one day that I have to work all day and all night, so I won't be able to make this get together. Something to keep in mind though is that I think all the jewelry stores in NYC are closed on the weekends other than places like Tiffany and Cartier.

Okay so Trump Tower has nice restaurants. Sounds good to me. Actual restaurant suggestions anyone? Nice lunch, good lighting? As for bling shopping, it would be lovely if all the stores were open, but even it's only Tiffany and Cartier, etc... it's going to be a BLAST getting together, meeting one another, and passing our OWN bling around!!!

I'm coming up to NY on the 19th. I'll check out all the lighting and the sizes of the restaurants in the Trump Tower then. Things are constantly changing in there.

I went through the Trump Tower yesterday, and the lighting isn't very good. There are only 3 places to eat (Starbucks, the Grille and the Trump Bar). Starbucks and The Grille are out in the open, not brightly lit and a group of jewelry lovers might attract unwanted attention. The Trump Bar is small and very dimly lit. As far as shopping goes, I don't think many stores will be open on a Sunday. Transportation might be a problem because it's the day before New Year's Eve.
