Here is my wife's new white gold pink sapphire ring.
The sapphire is from Wildfishgems. Ed @ wildfishgems was great to deal with, and was patient while I sent the stone to AGTA to get what seems to be "THE" certificate for colored stones. It came back untreated and I started thinking about settings. Bob Hoskins @ Whiteflash was patient with me while I needed multiple quotes and finally made up my mind with regards to the setting. The setting is similar to some others I found and liked with an oval setting, but Whiteflash finished it up and came up with exactly what I had in mind.
Two months after I started, I pick it up from FedEx tomorrow!
A big thumbs up for both companies!

Mike

OK. That is THE setting I want for my oval London Blue. It's STUNNING and PERFECT and I LOVE IT.

What are the dimensions on that sapphire BTW?

Whiteflash, if you can hear me, please make that setting a standard catalog, it's STUNNING!

Thank you everyone for the kind words, it's been a long process.
You have no idea how little I knew about any colored stones before I started this.
I had to do a ton of research. If it weren't for these forums, I wouldn't have
known about beryllium treatment, heating, AGTA, Whiteflash.com, or any of the other
numerous online retailers that have been recommended.

I don't mind sharing the cost so that others can know what to expect too, it's just
another resource on here. The cost of the ring is mostly in the stone. The entire
project is in the neighborhood of $7000. You could do for less than $5000 if you
didn't care about a heated stone, and you could do it for a lot more with platinum
and/or a bigger stone.

Thanks again!
Mike
