Does anyone know this..

Just need to let out some steams. There''s this 3 idiots UK guys posted something on youtube showing how they bullied this elderly trishaw rider while they were on vacation in Singapore (august this year). It was in the newspapers and blogs.

The original video was deleted by one of the guys when he received tons of hate comments from viewers but someone managed to save and re-posted it again. After watching that really makes my blood boil.

With any luck the Singapore High Commission in London will make a formal complaint and these three will be caught.

The police here take a very dim view of this kind of behaviour.

I am really appalled by how so many of my fellow Brits behave when they are out of their own country. Prague is being ruined by 'stag-parties', and parts of Greece are just horrific in the summer - the UK even sends our policemen there to help out because of the strain being put on the local forces.

I think a community service order is called for for these 3 - or send them back to Singapore for a good flogging! Certainly an example should be made.

Most of us do not behave in this way, but it only takes a few idiots to give everyone a bad name.

Gosh, that is sick . I hope they do something to those 3 sickos! Hopefully the older gentleman will be rewarded some how. Article no. 4 was sad to read; he needs to work (he also seems to be a very humble man).

At first I thought no one would take a look or even comment about it. But thanks for your kind words.
It''s so sad to see people were being treated badly especially for the elderly trishaw rider.

Hopefully someone will be able to identify the other 2 men.

When I first read of this incident via CNA(channel news asia) market forum, it''s quite upsetting. When the admin suddenly deleted the thread while i was still reading halfway, decided to find out the truth and see for myself. After watching from youtube (re-posted by ukbastard), i felt sick in the stomach. It pains me to watch that kind of treatment the elderly trishaw rider had to endure. I felt really disgusted by their behaviors. They owe him S$ and a public apologies. What angers me was when service were rendered, they got the cheek brush him aside, making him look as if he was begging for money and hop into the cab and pretended as if nothing had happened.

On the other hand, I feel sorry for these 3 guys parent. They telecasted to the world telling how their parents have failed to teach them proper manners & behave as a human during overseas trip. What goes around comes around. They think they can get away so easily? Karma will hit them in 10 folds if they fail to undo the wrong to make it right. How would they feel if that old man are their dads and being filmed to be made fun of.

Um, about 17 years. Very long.

Reporter: When do you plan to retire?

I plan to work for another 1, 2 years before retiring. Because I''m getting weaker. My legs have no more strength. (laughs) Thats the problem.

Reporter: How''s your health?

I''m healthy, only that my legs are weaker. Not much strength, cannot really pedal.

Reporter: Then, do you enjoy working as a trishaw rider?

Happy, of course. I enjoy this job.

Reporter: Why?

Because I''ve been working as a trishaw rider since 1992, all the way till now.. 16, 17 years already. Because when I retired, I had similar jobs as you people. I had strength in my youth. I didn''t have much of an education.. so I did such simple jobs. I''ll do whatever job I can.

Now that I''m older, I can''t do many jobs, so I''m now a trishaw rider. Can still earn a bit of money. I enjoy it. Thats the thing.

Sure, why not. I can cope. Sometimes, when I earn money, I can buy food to eat. Cannot earn, then too bad. Its fair. I don''t earn money everyday. Not like other jobs with a stable pay. Ya, okay.
