Ritani: Halo or Donut???

mintve Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,200 Last Post: 6/2/2009 Member Since: 10/15/2007	I am in the beginning stages of searching for an e-ring setting. Its all very exciting and loads of fun! Each time I come across the Ritani Endless Love (halo setting), I light up. I just love it! Tonight at another jeweler, I came across a similar, but different setting by Ritani. Rather than a sigle halo, it has multiple rows that they call a donut. The diamond also sits a bit lower, so the pointy part of the diamond is not exposed under the center stone. I showed the photo to my FF and he said "that's diifferent". He was thinking more of a plain solitaire...ie a tiffany setting. I tried on a few solitaires, including a Tiffany setting and it was not as pretty on my hand. There is something about the halo that catches my eye. I am thinking 1 carat give or take. By adding the halo, you really enahance the size of the center stone. Everything Works Out for a Reason

I worked on mine for a number of years till HE started picking them out when we'd go into stores. But initially he didn't care for them as much as I did. For the record, I love the donut for a RHR with a colored stone... but the halo is one I'd pick for an e-ring.
