I am in the beginning stages of searching for an e-ring setting.  Its all very exciting and loads of fun!  Each time I come across the Ritani Endless Love (halo setting), I light up.  I just love it!  Tonight at another jeweler, I came across a similar, but different setting by Ritani.  Rather than a sigle halo, it has multiple rows that they call a donut.  The diamond also sits a bit lower, so the pointy part of the diamond is not exposed under the center stone.  What are your opinions/preferences?

Here is the Classic Ritani Endless Love Halo Ring

If you light up every time you see a halo, go with it.

My vote goes to the Ritani Halo, plus you said you light up every time you see it.  The donut is nice, but takes away from the center stone IMHO.

i like the halo better - haven't seen the donut in person (but i have seen the halo) and from the pic it looks like it could take away from the center.

cuteyTT has the halo and her pics are gorgeous, i thought you might enjoy the eye candy (if you haven't seen them already)!

Halo. For some reason I think the donut would look better with a colored gemstone center.

 I agree. I think it is a quirky design, almost `organic`. I personally dont like it much for an er.

I have seen both in person and I vote for the halo as well. The other one really does take away from the center stone. What size center were you thinking of?

Thanks for your input.  I think I am in love with the halo and this setting and nothing has topped it yet.  I showed the photo to my FF and he said "that's diifferent".  He was thinking more of a plain solitaire...ie a tiffany setting.  I tried on a few solitaires, including a Tiffany setting and it was not as pretty on my hand.  There is something about the halo that catches my eye.

I am thinking 1 carat give or take.  By adding the halo, you really enahance the size of the center stone.

Definitely halo - the donut competes with the center stone whereas the halo seems to enhance it.

It can take a while for the men to get used to the halo idea. I worked on mine for a number of years till HE started picking them out when we'd go into stores. But initially he didn't care for them as much as I did. For the record, I love the donut for a RHR with a colored stone... but the halo is one I'd pick for an e-ring.

Definitely the halo.  I LOVE that ring.  Every time I see it I drool.  I actually got to try it and I just love the look.

Halo definition:  the aura of glory, veneration, or sentiment surrounding an idealized person or thing.  (Awh.)

And Donut...well it is a small usually ring-shaped cake fried in fat, which means weight gain, high calories, and wearing one may make you walk like an Egyptian...and sing;

All the cops in the donut shops say:
Way-oh-way-oh-way-ooo-aaa-ooo

So, if you put it that way...HALO!!  Halo!   Halo!
