I'm short on time at the moment, have you happened to run HCA scores on these yet?

I prefer the last diamond by the numbers - can you get any Idealscope images from the vendor?

Hi lynne,

Aside from not having the crown and pavillion angles for the first one, the girdle is a bit worrisome. Very thin is not really recommended. Also, this stone is what is called a 60/60. (table and depth are close or at) It gives a bit of a different look, more white light, a little less fire. Some prefer this, it's not bad, just different.

On the second one, it's what is called a Firey Ideal Cut, it will have a bit more fire. Some also prefer this type. However, it's only got Good for cut (personally I'd stick with at least VG), so it's a bit iffy (and again, very thin on girdle).

The last ones table is a bit bigger than some around here prefer, and again, you might lose a tad of fire with it. I'm not liking the 70 for lower half. If you don't know what that means, do a search for "lgf" on here, you'll get lots of thread.

Also, who graded these?

Of course, without an IS pic or Sarin report, that about all I can say about any of them. To be honest, none of them got me excited.

May I ask, are you looking in retail stores or onlline?

Lynne, it would be useful to know what you are looking for - do you want a Superideal cut diamond ( cut to exacting proportions and highly rated for light performance), or what we call a ' nice make' of diamond - one which is nicely cut and sparkly, but not a cream of the crop cut?  This would help if you could let us know what your preference is.  If it is for a pretty diamond which sparkles and looks good then one of your contenders may be fine, if you want a tighter cut then perhaps we need to find some others.  I take it from the info given these are GIA graded?

Morning Ellen!!

Yep, also are you looking online or in retail?

I'd have to agree with Ellen, that I would not buy any of these. But if these were the only three and I had to choose one, it would be #3 since it is better cut than the others.

I didn't find many with your specs to compare them to, but here is an example of an ideal cut stone:

~~~ When in doubt...don't.~~~
