echelon6 Cut Rock Total Posts: 242 Last Post: 8/13/2009 Member Since: 7/6/2007	I notice that all the pieces featuring small stones from WF are branded ACA. Why is this? Where do the "bad" small stones go? Or are all stones below a certain size branded ACA? ETA: by pieces featuring small stones I mean pieces like Tennis bracelets, pendants, eternity bands etc

Chrono Ideal Rock Total Posts: 11,338 Last Post: 11/24/2009 Member Since: 4/22/2004	Melees are small diamonds that are 0.2 carats and smaller. WF ACA melees just means that those small diamonds are also cut to the exacting WF standards as their regular larger ACA stones.

I'm simply asking where do the 'bad' stones go, i.e. the melee's which have been cut badly (I'm sure even WF cutters make mistakes once in a while) ? Do they have an ES or non-ACA selection of melee? Do they simply throw them out? Or do they brand every melee, good and bad, as ACA?

As to where the bad ones go, perhaps diamond purgatory? (Maul stores that specialize in bort, etc.) Dont' really know. shay ______________________________My therapist loves me.
