bee* Ideal Rock Total Posts: 11,105 Last Post: 11/23/2009 Member Since: 5/14/2006	So this day next week D is taking me away for a weekend somewhere and he's now told me it's abroad! I don't know how Im going to keep myself sane this week as I'm really hoping that he does it when we're away. I'm not sure where we're going so I've covered all possibilities by booking in to get waxed today, a facial on tuesday and mani and hair done on thursday so even if he doesn't do it while we're away, I'll look great anyway Anything I'm missing out on doing? I'm just so excited to go

I didn't sleep a wink last night as I was so excited so I was so tried in college today-could have slept in my lectures! Delster-the stuff is still pricey enough in the sale but definitely worth it. I find their sizes brilliant also and they provide great support. On the places front, I'm thinking either Paris, Berlin, Munich or Barcelona. I've never been to Prague-that would be cool

It's just one of those little pleasures to wear something that DOESN'T look like it was originally designed for some industrial purpose... I lived in Munich for a year and for that glorious year, the whole of Europe was only a train ride away. I went to Prague twice that year, Budapest, Brussels, Rome, Venice, Bologna... I'd go back to Munich in a heartbeat! So anyway I was thinking, the Oktoberfest will still be on (last two weekends of September, first one of October). So he might not take you there - huge crowds etc, not very romantic. Unless you're a huge beer buff, then it's probably paradise!!! BUT bee if it IS Munich will you do something for me? In the main square (Marienplatz) there's a famous glockenspiel that goes berserk every morning at 11am. In high Summer season it goes off every half hour from 10am through to noon! Anyway little dancers come out and mimic the jousting etc that was carried on to celebrate the marriage of some important Prince in the 16th century, and, eh, a dance supposed to exorcise the Black Death. It's cute and all but there's ANOTHER glockenspiel show that people don't know about and that one is ROMANTIC. If you go back to Marienplatz at 11pm the glockenspiel plays a lullaby to put the city to sleep. A nightwatchman comes out to check eveyone is OK, and then the Muenchner Kindl (a wee monk, the city's lucky symbol - he's on the sides of all the U-Bahns) comes out and an angel of peace blesses him. And no-one knows about it!!! The square is always deserted and it's so peaceful and quiet... if I could put in a smiley doing a big contented sigh here I would! Hmmmm what about up North? Would he head that way? Copenhagen, Oslo, Malmo? Or further East - Krakow!!! And I think a massage sounds like a GREAT idea. You should definitely try and do that. Even just a head massage with your hairdo maybe!

I was at the Oktoberfest two years ago and had one of the best weekends of my life-we had such a ball. I took him for his birthday present and although Im not a beer drinker I had a couple. I didn't see that one at 11pm-that sounds so cute! We did see the one during the day though. I love Germany. Well I got the manicure and my hair done today and will have to do my pedicure tonight. Only one more day of college and work to get through and then holidays! Woohoo!
