Its a real winner and gorgeous - no worries - you did great!!!

In fact, you would have a very hard time improving on it!!!

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...

If that is the stone you chose that is stunning by all means! You will be loved forever for that. I have a .75 G VS1 Ideal H & A and it is stunning! All the colors of the rainbow in that stone and compliments like you cannot believe!  I this that is a great choice and if your going to spend that kind of money do it on that kind of stone! Congrads!

That looks like a beautiful stone (I see it says "sold"; did you already buy it?)  If you have already purchased it, no worries- it's great.  However, I see several other ACA H&As for the same or lower price that are closer to 1.25 ct, some are I VS1 or VS2s; others are closer to G/H SI1.  Something to consider if you'd like a teeny bit more size?  Good luck!

The cut of the stone is fantastic!  You could save a little money or go larger by dropping in clarity a couple of grades and even color too, but if you prefer a higher color/clarity diamond than this is a great one!!

Thanks everyone I feel so much better about it. I wanted at least a G colour and wanted at least a VS clarity to keep in line what I already have which is a .25 round brilliant G colour VS2. So I am making a big jump already. Plus in my cirlce of firends they are under 1 carat so I feel pretty good about my choice!

I forgot to mention earlier but one reason why I didn't want too big of a diamond is because I am getting a halo setting (eventually) and I didn't want the ring to be so big that I wouldn't wear it everyday, and not to say that 1 carat is too big but from going from .25 to 1 carat plus halo I think it will take a bit to get used to that!

Sorry can you tell I am a bit excited?!!

I think one carat is plenty big especially if you plan on getting a halo setting! It IS exciting! Please come back and show us pictures!
