Hi, I've been lurking for a couple of months and enjoying the site. Possibly springing for a 2.50-3.00 cushion cut. Store recommendation for best value/appearance is H color, SI1. Does this sound like a good stone in the making? What other specs should I look for? Also, store says pricing is approx 10K per carat-is this to be expected? Thanks!

10k per carat is super overpriced if you're looking at H, SI1. I would suggest going to Mark T of engagement rings direct. He is in the NYC diamond district and is responsible for getting many PS'ers beautiful cushions. Do a search and you will see all the lovely rings he has created. Best of luck!
