So after using PriceScope's great searching tools, along with having a WF rep help weed out some selections based on performance, I have my two princess down to the following:

'A Cut Above (AGS0)' Princess 0.584 ct F SI1 $1188ps wire AGS-8239707

. Carat: 0.584
. Depth %: 75.1
. Table %: 67.6
. Crown Angle: 42.1

. Pavilion Angle: 39.8
. Pavilion %: 58.6
. Girdle: Thin to Medium
. Measurements: 4.50-4.49X3.37

. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible

'Expert Selection' Princess 0.516 ct F SI1 $1004ps wire AGS-8020410

. Report: AGS
. Shape: Princess
. Carat: 0.516
. Depth %: 75.4
. Table %: 69.7
. Crown Angle: 43.2
. Crown %: 13
. Pavilion Angle: 40
. Pavilion %: 59.6

I am interested to know what you think on the dimensions and quality. Right now I am focusing on the AGS0 that is larger (although performance is the key issue rather than size for the selection).

Based on the numbers / scope pics, what do you think?
Thanks again!

Have you seen 1/2ct princess cuts?

I would suggest you compare rounds for the same money (the round will be smaller in weight, but most people think the round looks bigger and better.)

Between those two, I'd choose the one w the TH-MED girdle; thin girdles on princess cuts make me nervous & the other stone's girdle is just Thin
Other than that, they bound sound nice...

If performance is key, definitely go with the AGS0, which I would pick.

Gary raises a point however. I would ask, has a Princess been specifically requested, and/or is size an issue?

Yeah my GF has specifically requested a Princess cut. I was hoping to go round too since I find them easier to shop for.

As for size, surprisingly, she actually doesn't like large diamonds. I've asked and re-asked about diamonds and she prefers small ones. So initially I thought a 0.5 ct round would work. But when I learned she DEFINATELY wants princess, I thought around a 0.6 ct Princess would look similar (in size) to a 0.5 round. Is this a bad assumption?

Kinda. It will take bigger than that, and Gary, being a diamond guy could tell you exactly what size you'd need to compare.

If thats the case. I hope Gary can help me out on that. :)

I guess an issue is that currently WF doesn't have any AGS0 princesses between 0.6 and 0.7. And the price seems to almost DOUBLE when jumping from that 0.58 to anything above 0.7 (from $1188 to around $2300)
I was going to go with WF because they had the best value AGS0 princesses I could find. And they also have a setting I like so it would make things a convenience.
