emilina22 Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,390 Last Post: 11/20/2009 Member Since: 2/10/2007	ok so weve been talking alot about getting engaged my the end of the year..YAY... and so ive sort of begun thinking and slowly planning our engagement party...is that weird? like i kinda already have a floor plan set for the tables and a color scheme, and well...a guest list... and engagement parties are not your small 20 person party with us our engagement parties have 200+ invited...so its a big deal... so is it weird that i already started planning it with out a proposal yet?

heraanderson Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,139 Last Post: 11/20/2009 Member Since: 7/13/2007	I don't think there's anything wrong with planning the engagement party. I just wouldn't put money deposits on anything (halls, caterers,etc) until you are officially engaged. Have fun!

I can only imagine the envelope-stuffing sessions for those parties! Anyway, it seems like an engagement party of that magnitude would require planning ahead. Especially if you wanted it to happen any time soon after the engagement
