HI:

Thanks for the kind words guys!

RS--Marian--I agree, yeah for Y/G!
Kaleigh--Lisa--thanks for stopping by!  I luv 'em!
Snlee--heehheee if they only knew I am allergic to housework..but they were worried I would damage them while scrubbing floors; NO fear of that!!!
Monnie--LOL, I kinda do look a mannequin in that lame pose ]
Sundial--hmmm visit friend and buy turquoise hmmmm.  Get that y/g out of storage!!
Catmom--Michelle--they are lightweight since they are hollow, so yes one could easily wear several more!

Hope the mailperson brings my earrings--it is total pants here and I need a pick-me-up!

cheers--Sharon

Hi Sharon,

You've bought some lovely peices!  The 24K is really a rich deep yellow colour. Will look great with all the fall colours coming in.   I like the dangly earings, they look very feminine & delicate.

Enjoy!

As for the cool weather--you are welcomed to it!  It love the heat and wish we had MORE of it here.  We were just in Palm Springs (yes yes it was HOT) but coming home to 11 C and rain is JUST NOT FUN!  I was in a state of shock--but it looks to be warm today and for the long weekend. The bangles are lovely, Sharon. Your posting the pictures and descriptions really helped to give an accurate portrayal of what you are wearing! We really both love yellow gold and high karat gold, so it was interesting to read about your bracelets and see how different our bracelets actually are.

For some reason, I like to wear an odd number of bangles and you like to wear an even number. (You are wearing two now, and contemplating wearing four.) You also like yours to be lightweight (and therefore hollow). I always want mine to be solid and I resent it when a manufacturer (like Gurhan) fills the bracelet with something other than gold just to make it weighty! Finally, none of my bracelets have clasps (so they do not open and close) and have to be pushed over the hand and I noticed that all of yours do, despite the tiny size of your hands.

Be sure to add these to the thread on gold jewelry! (It is still open isn't it?)

I hope you wear the new bangles in good health and happiness!

HI Deb:

I appreciate your input--and I thought about all those variables you discussed.  IN past I have had 24K bangles, that were "whole" (no clasp) and they did evenutally bend with the wear and tear of pushing them on and off.  I was not smart enough to use the old plastic bag on the hand trick--that certainly could have helped matters, and of course having a heavier weight does also.  Notwithstanding the clasp is convenient, is is also pain, as the little security figure 8 rubs again the other bangle, and opens.  But it is easily tightening--but not too much as you know the drill with 24k..

If memory serves, I think you and I have discussed the filling of hollow gold jewellery with materials to increase their weight (e.g. resin) and I dislike this practice; or it certainly was a pain when I was working at the bench repairing jewellery in my Dad's shop 30 years ago.

Naturally I didn't pay anywhere near what the Gurhan bangles cost---and nether do I have a brand.  Honestly, I wish I had some of his merchandise--it is unique and beautiful to the eye.  But these will have to suffice for now , until I find somewhere local to buy Gurhan.  Yet, I am pretty happy with my bracelets, and look forward to betting two more.  I wonder how my diamond bangle would look together with them????

Thanks for stopping by!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon
