Pricescopers, Yes, it's another one of these threads...any help would be greatly appreciated! First off, I visited Good Old Gold today and was impressed to say the least. The customer service, selection and expertise is top notch. I looked at various cuts, and settled on a cut cornered brilliant square. There were a few diamonds in their inventory that peaked my interest; however, to meet my needs I asked them to call one of their suppliers to see if they had what I was looking for, and I think I struck gold but I'm a little concerned about the depth, etc. Here are the specs: Measurements: 7.1 X 6.93 X 4.94 Polish: Ideal Symmetry: Ideal Color: G Clarity: VS2 Carat Weight: 2.045 Florescence: Negligible It's a little hard to read the report, but I think the table is 61.43% and the depth 71.13%. I'm going to go back and take a look at the stone on Saturday, but I was a little concerned about the table and depth measurements. Thoughts? I did look at this stone http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2436 and thought it was great, but wasn't too keen on the clarity. Pricescopers, what are your thoughts? Should I hold out and wait till something else comes along in GOG stock? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Gary, Thanks for the quick response. What about the small table, and the measurements? The measurements seem a bit small for a 2.045 carat diamond. The one I saw in person had much larger measurements so is it safe to assume that it would look bigger? What are the pro's/con's of having these smaller measurements?
