QUESTION

Hi, I'm about 30 hours experienced at this site.

I'm searching for .2-.3 carat loose round stones (which I'd like to take to jewelers to build jewelry for my wife).

Pricescope's tool yields very few results below .3 carats.

B&M's seem to have poor selection also, and other problems. (labs I don't know, higher price...)

I like searching online, such as was with my .4 carat engagement stone found on pricescope.

Have you tried BlueNile?

For example, I just searched on the main page of this website for 0.24 to 0.26 H-J VS2-SI2 stones, and 29 stones from BlueNile came up (average price about $400).  The GIA and AGS certs are usually linked so you can use the HCA to make sure your stones have good angles.  You can add them to your shopping basket; no setting purchase is required.

That's if you want to just point and click to order them.  I'm sure if you wanted to work with a different vendor, you could email or call and ask what they have available.

Thank you phoenixgirl, you solved my question.

I had mistakenly assumed the "Cut Quality Search" (extra cut info) tool linked on the main page would produce as many hits as the search tool on the main page.  (just with more info)  Big mistake.
