okay not really a Show Me the Thing post, but I was watching TV the other day and on my cable box it showed ".51", as in channel 51 (not sure why there is a dot infront of the number, but that is how the box is), and for a few seconds I was thinking, .51 ct......

When your client (a company that makes food products) is talking about adding more "inclusions" like beans and vegetables to their meals...and you think..ewww...gross!

Kissmark...I have some news for you...not sure you want to hear it...but the fact is....you are a junkie.  Deal with it.  You are looking for a diamond fix in all aspects of your life.  The only way to satisfy this need is to buy more diamonds.

We are here to support you...as we are also junkies...(Oh dear, there I go again speaking for the whole group).

...when you roll over in the night, nestle back into your pillow, smile, and say "Big diamonds..." in a sleepy, blissful voice.  Not that that happened to me.

Don't worry, you have good company around here!

...you write documents for a living, but nonetheless become convinced that 'enhancing clarity' is a bad thing?

When you know you're seriously considering switching sides of the bed once you get engaged so you can fall asleep with your left hand on his chest, staring at your new ring...

Bad because 1) we're so used to our current sides that switching would mean multiple nights of awful sleep, and 2) common sense says NOT to wear the ring to bed...

When you're writing out a check to a store named Dirt Cheap, and you write Diamonds on the end of it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."
-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State
John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880
"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....
The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."
Me too!
Every time I watch Star Trek The Next Generation I keep seeing Geordie La Forge's visor as a 'baguette channel set band'.
