Hello all, What's the consensus on the effect of girdle thickness on the quality of a princess diamond's cut? I'm looking at one that appears to have tons of good characteristics, but the girdle is rated "THK" to "ETK", which I'm taking to mean thick to extremely thick. If all the other characteristics are great and in line, should I be overly concerned? THANKS!!!

Extremely thick is actually ridiculously thick. Don't buy like this. Have someone who can see it talk to you about it.

Hi Magnolia, There is a lot of hidden weight in that girdle. What are the rest of the specs? It probably is a good idea to compare it against a few others before you make your final decision. Best Sean Dunn |
