Hi debating between the 2, one has better color/clarity but the other is bigger. which one would look better for a necklace? are color/clarity as important for a pendant as for the ring? would the 0.5 carat look too small?

Thanks

Hands down the H, if eyeclean! (I want that no matter what, it's personal)

The .50 would be fine, but bigger is always better.

Yes! They define what they determine eyeclean on their site. It can mean different things to different people.

Some don't want to see anything from any angle at any distance. Some just don't want to see anything face up. That's what I'd ask for in a pendant.

I would also definitely go for the larger H provided it's eyeclean. In fact, for am ACA pendant I would probably drop to an I color, maybe even a J so I could get the biggest bang for my buck!

I'd look for an eyeclean SI2 for a pendant.  They are out there.  Sometimes they just take a little bit to find.

I'd go with the larger stone, the H.

Hi,

I like the size on the H better, but I'm not sure about the actual stone.  Seems the cert. shows a lot of red marks!

How about this one:

On the actual AGS certificate.  I do think SIs are great deals, but I would be picky, esp. for nearly $3000.

I would ask WF to eyeball both stones. It could possibly be the SI2 is more noticable (in real life) than the SI1, as it's basically got 1 big inclusion as opposed to several smaller ones.

Yep!  Be sure to call WF.  They are really helpful.

For the difference of 0.25 ct, definitely the H!!!  And as far as the report goes, still best to talk to a WF rep to see if the stone is eye clean.  The plot can be a sea of red but that doesn't mean the inclusions can be seen with the naked eye.

Excellent advice - was going to point out the same thing.

When I visited WF a few years ago with Mara, we both saw a stone that looked lovely and fairly clean in person.  We THEN saw the plot - SCARY.  If we'd have assumed the plot meant a messy diamond IRL, we'd have thought it to be much worse than it actually was.

The staff at WF is fantastic, and very straightforward.  If they say the stone is eyeclean, I'd go with that without hesitation.
