Yes she has!

I remember when I first noticed her posting (actually, it was in my ring thread) and she was so warm and sweet, and acted like she'd been here forever. I marveled at her approach to this place...

Yay Skippy!!  I"m so glad to see you in Who's Who!!  I have to say, you've always been very helpful and friendly.  It's funny, although I know what your name actually is (since you've posted it here somewhere), I still think you look like a Skippy to me.

My Story. . .

I don't know what to say really but here goes. I am the oldest and have a sister who is 2 yrs younger. She and I are good friends; I don't see her as often as I use to since we both are married and busy (even though she live 2 mi from me and 1 mi from my parents). She has a little boy who is 1 1/2 and the such a joy to all of us; he is my parents first grandchild and really a huge joy/blessing. I love my parents dearly but my mom ended up really sick a few yrs back(I won't go into details) but it made me a stronger person and gave me the *gift of empathy* which I lacked before. I believe that whatever is put in our path is put there for a reason and makes us stronger for it!!! I think sometimes it doesn't make sense at that moment but later it really does. Now that my nephew is around for my parents to enjoy, life is such a sweet reward.

My parents always worked super hard to give us the best in life; they sent us to the best schools in Albuquerque and made sure we went to college. I have always loved numbers and loved calculating everything. I did well in math and now I enjoy playing w/numbers. I thought I wanted to be a registered dietitian but I could not wrap my brain around all that science; when I started Biology II and Chem II I said forget it (even though my mom has a science degree & masters). I think my parents are kind generous people and they made me who I am today; I appreciate them deeply for everything they taught me and given me.

While I was going to school I was given a lucrative internship and that is where I met my hubby. The moment I saw him I knew I wanted to marry him even though he is my opposite! He is analytical and reserved; I am such a people person and expressive. Also, I was 21 and he was 27 which I thought was too old at the time (not).hehehe Since we were so different it took us 3 years before we were married. Think of your Big Fat Greek wedding; I was just like the girl and he was just like the guy in the movie; even his parents we like from he movie!!! hehehe Also, he is from the East coast and I lived in NM all my life; I even got his parents hooked on biscochitos (spanish cookies) In fact we had Mariachi's just for the people who came out to the wedding from DC!! Also, I only liked Las Vegas and hubby said no, no; there is life beyond LV and California. He took me to Italy for almost 3 weeks for our honeymoon and then is when the travel bug hit me.

Hubby has a younger sister who lives East and has 2 wonderful sons. Whenever I see them I laugh because the boys have the blondest hair and bluest eyes and I think no one would ever believe they are my nephews! They are dolls; they love to surf and I love being their aunt!

I actually came to PS when I lost my ring during our kitchen/living room remodel. I was devastated and in denial it was gone forever. After searching for several months we gave up and I thought I have to be able to find a nice diamond cheaper than the B&M stores so that is how I ended up here. I love it here and I Love all the people here; you all bring wonderful friendships to this place. Thanks sweetest Kimberly (for starting this), Irina, Leonid, and Andrey!!!

Hopefully someday in the near future I can attend a GTG

Skippy

I don't want to threadjack, but since you asked, I'll make my answers to your questions brief:

1. No, I haven't found shoes yet, but my wedding's a year away.  I've got loads of time.

2. We're not sure what to do for our honeymoon yet.  We flip flop a lot.

Carry on...

It's great getting to know you!

The kids are great and loving their time off.  We've been at the beach or one of the pools most of the time.  We've also been working on the dreaded landscape plan for our yard...That has been VERY time consuming!

What about you?  Any summer plans?

Miranda,
sounds like fun! I love pools and going to the beach. Wow, what are your doing to your yard??? What are the plans?
Glad the kiddo's are enjoying their time off.

I love yard work; I just added two Oleander bushes, but I hate painting.
This weekend we are painting our bedroom. We painted it orange a while back ago and I hate it;
I thought it would be hip but it makes me a little angry looking at the color.
I think it is funny how colors can create such emotion. I chose a tranquil light blue this time.
