Our invites went out on Wednesday so many of our guests got thiers on Thursday; the rest probably on Friday. Imagine my complete surprise (and literal jumping up and down) when we got our first rsvp back on Saturday!!!! FI's BestMan really got that sucker BACK lol! (He just got married 2 yrs ago so he probably knows the rsvp hell  ). Since Saturday, we've received 4 more. It's truly a pleasure going to that mailbox everyday. I feel like a kid leading up to xmas  |

How exciting! My mom is making me send the RSVPs back to her house, so she'll get to see them before me. Which, will make for interesting record keeping.

How exciting! Just one year ago, I was in your shoes getting RSVPs back for my wedding! My RSVPs were sent to my parent's house so we didn't have the excitement of getting them back in the mail. But I did enjoy those calls from my parents telling us who responded!

Ooooh, I feel your excitement b/c I sent most of my invites out Sunday so I suppose officially they went out Monday and some went in the mailbox on Monday. I am so excited about getting the first one back! What efficient family and friends you have!!

Let's see........I guess Friday would be the first possible day for replies in your case I was pretty shocked by the Saturday reply, tho! I mean, THAT is some quick turn around. I'm not saying it takes alot to check a box and put it back in the envelope but I was very impressed nonetheless.  May all of our rsvp-ers take after my FIs BestMan!!

We sent ours out a couple of weeks ago on a Friday and got 4 back on the following Tuesday so, that was exciting! Since then, everyday there's a different amount so, we never know what we're going to get when we open the mailbox! It's interesting how it fluctuates. I'm the type of person who replies right away when I receive an invitation. I just don't want the reply card to get lost somewhere, plus the thing already has a stamp on it so, how much easier can it be right? Some of my close friends who I know are coming haven't even replied yet which surprised me.

I know the feeling! We sent out our invitations earlier this month...sent out on a Friday and had a hand full of RSVP's Monday!! It was an awesome feeling...really made the wedding feel real! And we've been getting RSVP's ever since...it's so much fun. I find myself stalking the mail man sometimes...hehe!

I've been spoiled so far because I've recieved at least one every day since that first Saturday. God forbid there is a day coming up where I don't get any. I'll be crushed!!!  I'm feeling sort of left out tho as only 1 card (2 guests) was from "my" side of the wedding so far! I'm anxiously awaiting to see if my Illinois clan will end up making it and it's driving me insane!!!!!!!! Now, Ron's friends are hopping on this rsvp thing like crazy. Geesh. |

Aw.........our first decline  And from one of my professors/mentors  It's funny because altho I cognitively realize that not everyone can come, it still felt sort of  when I saw the decline. |

Sorry about the decline! I could see myself being bummed too even though I know many of our out of town family can't make it. As a matter of fact, if somehow they all decided to come, we'd be in big trouble for our budget!! On a happy note, we got our first RSVP yesterday! Whoo-hoo!!

Two days and not a one. No mail at all! Is the postman playing a trick on me??? I had to tell my mom she must mail hers. Hello!! I included it w/a stamp for a reason! Ok, maybe I'm going a little rsvp crazy here but I had to tell my dad too. He said "well, you already know I'm coming." But I want the rsvp  So he said he'd mail it.  Too bad mail doesn't come on Sundays! How're yours coming?

Ok, I'm really not trying to take over your thread but I was too excited and wanted to share. I got 3 rsvp's today! Those little cards sure bring a lot of happiness. And they were all from people that I didn't for sure that they would come, well, ok 2 were since the 3rd was from my MOH. Yay! This is one of the best wedding parts so far!!

I think we'll probably send out about 96-115 invitations, I'll be darn happy if only 80 or so come. Not that I want people to say no, but it's just a larger list than we were hoping for. That's one of the reasons why I don't want to do save the dates.

Dixie~ I had no idea you had responded to this again! Ooops. SO excited for you that they're comin' in!! And it really is one of the happier exciting parts of it all! ENJOY :) Yay!!!!!!!!! What are you up to now in regards to rsvp-ers? I started strong and now I've slowed down for some reason so I'm at 18 yes and 3 no. Zoebartlett~ I'm telling ya, our list began at 75 and grew a little to the 103 but we were stressed about that. So, if it deflates back a bit it'll feel like we tried to invite those extra 25 but still got our ideal wedding size :) I guess I wouldn't want LESS than 75 tho or my venue will start looking pretty emptly lol. |
