I think I have FINALLY completed this ring replacement project. Here are some pictures of my Elaineh inspired Whiteflash Tiffany Knife Edge engagement 1.59 ct J SI2 round brillant ring with my 1.68ctw (6 pointer) G-H color Signed Pieces/Facets eternity band! Both rings are a size 4.75 and both are platinum. I can't say enough how wonderful WF and Signed Pieces were to work with. I am so so so happy with how everything turned out. And I feel that these 2 rings sit pretty darn well together. I'm definately satisfied! Those look great together!!! I honestly love the 6 point stones! I've been thinking lately that I wish mine had 6-7 pointers instead of 10 because I think it would look more delicate. I really love the WF adapted Tiffany setting, too!

Elaineh, you are sooo sweet. You KNOW you are the biggest inspiration behind this ering! I'm so stinking glad you did what you did to yours right when I was working on mine so that I was able to have those wonderful modifications done! Diamondseeker2006, Snlee & Katebar, your rings are a few that really pushed me to go for the solitaire w/ shared-prong band. (I know yours isn't exactly a shared-prong, Katebar, but it has a very similar look). I love all of your sets so much! Diamondseeker2006, thanks for the compliment on the 6 pointers! I have waivered slightly on this decision as I LOVE how big the gorgeous 3 pointer bands make these solitaires look, but I just couldn't get over my affection for the look of a little more substantial shared-prong band. Your memoire is soooooo gorgeous. WOW. The first eternity band I tried on was a 2 ctw Memoire shared prong eternity band and MAN ALIVE their bands are to die for. I just couldn't swing the $$$$$$$$. So I went for the $2100 signed pieces 6 pointer band.  Here's a profile shot and I'll work on more tomorrow.

GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! Girl, you are seriously making me rethink the channel set vs. the prong set again... ugghh. I love the look of your rings. Your ering stone is almost twice the size of mine, and your band is knife-edge, while mine is the legato sleek line. It's cool to see your rings together, because if you used 7 pt stones in your band with a center stone twice the size of mine, that would mean proportion-wise, mine would probably look good with 3 pt stones. If I don't love the larger channel set band Isaac has sent me (which will arrive tomorrow), I am going to have him send me a prong set band with 3 pt stones to try. Do the stones overhang the band at all? I'm so concerned about the whole rubbing issue if the stones overhang at all. You did great--it is BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you, Katiedid!  I think a 3 pointer shared prong band would look wonderful with your ring! ...........my 6 pointer shared prong band is rubbing my setting a little. I was prepared for this and expected it. I'm actually just so thrilled with how well they sit together after the first set I tried out. I put both bands on the SAME direction every day to at least restrict the rubbing to just the one side. I've heard people talk about having whoever makes the band to be sure that none of the band diamond girdles are exposed, I think if you talked to Isaac you guys could come up with something that would work. I also think that if I had a little bit smaller diamonds in my band it wouldn't rub at all. But I had to take this rubbing tade off to get the look I personally was after.........I am so happy with how much better the 6 prong Tiffany Knife Edge works with a shared prong vs. the more traditional 6 prong solitare setting out there. I have also waivered, as I mentioned earlier, on the size of stones I got in the band. I LOVE the look, but smaller stones would definately make the ering pop more..........I feel that I am titering right on the edge of OVERPOWERING my main stone, but I had 8 pointers on the last set for a 1.54 center and went down to 6.........maybe 4 would have been perfect.......but I am truly completely happy with this set and will definatley not be changing anything. I am looking at it this way-------this band will work great for my futre BIGGER upgrades.
