Hi! I just want to show my boyfriend how much i appreciate him. Does anyone have any ideas? He doesn't like receiving gifts. Thank you! ![]()

Cook him a nice romantic dinner. Bring him a nice breakfast in bed. Print out vouchers for 'boy movies" that he can use anytime when going out with you. If he likes to hiking, going to the beach, going wine tasting, kayaking... whatever... plan a day where you will do his favorite activity... and pack a nice picnic with his favorite foods for the trip.

Oh... and even guys who do not like presents... like certain types. Like... a present for you, that's really for him. Like something racy from a lingiere store. And the activities that follow-- especially if they are his favorite type of activities. ![]() Those ususually don't get turned down.

concert tickets for his fave band? cook his favorite meal (or any meal really) Fix something that's been bugging him but he couldn't fix (I'm the mechanical one, so this may just be my situation...) Rub his head. My guy gets all gooey when I put my hands on his scalp.

You've gotten some great suggestions, ones I was going to give. Sometimes, just pulling them aside and getting their undivided attention, then telling them just how much they mean and how much you appreciate them can mean a lot. Or a little love note stashed in an unsuspecting place... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Well, I don't know him, but I would suggest something in the food and/or sex department. I mean, he is a man, no? ![]()

I like to tell my bf when he's been particularly wonderful. Sometimes I write him a note in lipstick on the bathroom mirror to thank him for something with a big lipstick kiss beside it. Just telling him honestly and sincerely goes a long way!

I usually do food or just trying to be extra considerate for a day or three. Obviously telling him helps ;-) There's also always certain ...things...involving the aforementioned gifts "for you" and some special attention just for him. I think men often have to focus a lot on us in that department and it can be a nice relief for them not to.

Sometimes I go out and buy a movie I know he really wants or thinks looks cool, and just have a movie night without telling him what movie or that it's now being added to his collection. Other times I bring food from his favourite restaurant home (but then, my guy doesn't like going out and having me pay...he says it doesn't feel right) and we have dinner and talk. Would he mind a present if you don't do the whole "gift giving" process? Like getting him something you know he wants and just putting it somewhere that makes sense (ie my guy likes steins (sp??) so getting him one and putting it with the rest of them). Or buying something that he loves but knows you don't like (my bf is now the proud owner of the most horrible hat I've ever seen. But he loves it and wears it all the time, and now I'm the cool girlfriend that got him the hat his friends envy and try to steal...). Or just pouncing. Sometimes, they like the pouncing.

Gosh, sometimes I just flat out tell my fiance how great he is. He never gets tired of that. Sometimes I write him thank you letters or make him a thank you sign (just a piece of paper decorated with all the reasons he needs to be appreciated). Once he papered my appartment with signs he printed off the computers.

Maybe if you don't present it as a gift? I know I love it when my bf picks up something for me that he thinks I'd want/need. Sometimes it's just some veggies from the grocery store, once it was a set of decent knives, and another time he picked up a book for me he thought I would like. It's more "Hey, I was at the bookstore and thought you'd like this" rather than "I got you a PRESENT!" It's sweet and lets me know he's thinking of me. You could always find out what his favorite food is and cook up some dinner for him. Dress up in some cute lingerie. Draw up a bubble bath for two, give him a massage, and wash his hair (with a little scalp massage it feels sooooo good). Good luck!
