Hey gang!! I am new here and new at this whole diamond thing. My head is spinning. I am trying to learn as much as I can and this site is a HUGE help. I am in the market for a engagement ring/diamond. I want it to be about 1ct. It will be set in yellow gold, so I am not to worried about color (unless advised otherwise) Looking for it to be a SI2 or better. I assume that the inclusion’s will not be seen by the untrained naked eye. I do not have a huge budget. Want to be under 2k. Anyway, I came across http://www.abazias.com/database/NewDiamondInfo.asp?stock=1643079574 diamond and can't see what I am missing. Why is it so cheap? Am I on the right track? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any comments or recommendations. I will now continue my education thanks to Pricescope!!

There not enough information for me to comment on it.  I clicked on the cert but came up with a blank page.

That price has got to be one BIG mistake.

Maybe, maybe not.  The symmetry is Good, the Polish is Fair. I'm guessing the stone is somewhat deep since it is 1 carats but measures just under 6mm when it should be around 6.5mm.  The angles could be totally off.  Or maybe the colour and clarity grades were typed in incorrectly?  Who knows?

I agree, the cut (or lack of) would bring the price down, but not THAT much. lol

I just searched, it should be running at LEAST 7000.00.

Maybe there are more mistakes than just the price??

For what it is worth, I just emailed them about the diamond.  I am so tempted to try and buy it and see what happens.

They'll likely tell you the pricing was a mistake and they're not obligated to sell it at the mistaken price.  That sure is low - it's got to be missing a decimal place!

This diamond has lots of promise! (much better)

Ask WF for a sarin report and an idealscope image, that will tell the whole story. And they will be happy to do that for you.

On second thought, ask if it's eye clean FIRST, before proceeding.

Ditto.  See how the images look.  In general, I usually stick to the stones with images, but you never know...it could be really nice.  It has potential.
