First of all, thanks so much to everyone on here.  All of you have been so helpful with suggestions and opinions on my choice of settings.

I have narrowed it down to these two and will decide from them.

http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=201&rn=967&action=show_detail

http://www.ritani.com/home_html_2.php?stone=all&cat_id=&gender=&page=1&get_descr=1OV1831KRP&metal=&collection=Endless Love&matching=&related=&nav=collections&top=jewelry

First thing I think I need to do is weigh bezel vs prong.  What are the pros/cons of both?

Knox
I love the setting but am not crazy about the band as it seems to be a little wide especially after adding the wedding band.  The profile is kind of bland but I can live with that.

Ritani
I really like this ring, however, it is a bezel.  One jeweler told me it would take 4-5 weeks to set but the price did come in lower than I expected ($1900).

So any thoughts?  Votes?  Thanks so much for all your help.  Here is my original thread for some additional background..

The setting on the Knox is really high, I'd worry about smacking someone with that ring.
Also, I can't get to the page with the Ritani ring.  Perhaps you should double check the url.

Oh I can't see the ritani choice! I'm going to assume it's the halo ritani endless love one....

Ok, so my choice is the ritani endless love one...because:

1) the profile on the knox one does not look like a wedding bad will sit flush and that would drive me crazy! The band on it looks to be like 2 rings already, so if I go that as an engagement ring, I don't think I would wear a wedding band at all, I would just have it as a stand alone.

2) the ritani endless love gives the same kind of look as the knox one when you pair it with a wedding band. As for the bezel thing, I have a halo ring, and it's prongs, and honestly, I think a bezel looks amazing too, because you can actually tell where the diamond ends and where the halo starts, so you have a good visual of the size of the center stone. The prong set sometimes people stare at for awhile and say "it's super hard to see how big your diamond is" which can be good (or not good) depending what you want.

Good luck! Sorry if I'm wrong and you didn't pick the ritani endless love as your second choice!

It is the Ritani Endless Love ring.  I can't seem to get the link to work.  If you copy and paste into browser it should work.  I'll try to upload pictures..

I prefer the Ritani; it looks smoother and I like the flow of the bezel.  It's also less busy with only one row of diamonds on the band versus the 2 rows of the Knox setting. That said, I don't know if a wedding will be able to sit flush with this setting.

Ugh!  Not what I wanted to hear but better now than when I got the ring.  I'll check before I buy.  I WANT the wedding band to match up.

Thanks for the insight.

This is the matching band.  I wish I could find a profile picture of halo ring.
