Harriet, your stones are gorgeous! Who did you purchase them from? I'd like to hear more about the Brazilian Rose.

Are those the bigger rhodolites for your earrings?  Do you have a pic of them next to the studs?

Hi,
I bought all of them from Richard M. He has a gallery on this site, and is a pleasure to deal with. The Brazilian Rose is a 12 mm round pink amethyst. Any setting ideas?

Thanks, but I really didn't do it justice, though not for lack of trying.

I have never heard of a pink amethyst - very pretty!

I really like this setting from knox.

This is probably a stupid question, but how did you get to Richard's gallery within Pricescope? Is there contact information listed there? I'd love to check out his stuff!

Get one, then!

That setting is over my budget.

On the main page, toggle "gallery on". His contact information is there, I think.

Thank you all! For now, I'm just content to admire the gems. I won't set them till inspiration strikes and I have the means.

Chrono,

Yes, I am, Harriet.  Or was anyway.  I grew up and lived just across the causeway!

At least you didn't have to do the commute everyday. I had primary school classmates who were doing that.
Btw, do you miss the food?

Don't remind me about the food.  I've found restaurants that serve local dishes here in the States but somehow it just doesn't measure up to the real thing.  Still, it's better than nothing when you are thousands of miles away from home.

Are you in NYC?  If so, there are tons of restaurants on Manhattan Island.  Check out Penang, Nonya, Baba and there's lots more.

ETA
They are in Chinatown.  They also have branches in Philly and NJ.

I am. I've never been to Baba, but I've been to the other two and they are not the same.
