Hi! I'm heading over to Scottsdale for a few days. Would anyone know of good jewelry stores there to at least view some large(3carat)squarish diamonds. Want to look at Regents, Lucere etc. before purchasing online or elsewhere. Thanks in advance. P.S. I enjoy reading this site so much....I think I'm even prolonging the buying part.

You might try contacting Gary W. Wright of Gary W. Wright Co. He's a diamond wholesaler based in Scottsdale, but he might be able to point you in the right direction of a local store specializing in the square brilliant cuts.

I'm not sure about Scottsdale, but in the Biltmore area there is a store called Molina's. Nice to look, but very expensive to buy$$! Not sure how familiar you are with the area, but Biltmore is the closest thing to "old" money that Phoenix has. If you schedule an appointment you can get into the gallery (large Ascher and vivid yellow square diamonds). Here is the website address: http://www.finejeweler.com/fj/ You might also try the Diamond Source: http://www.diasource.com/. Or The Shane Company in Scottsdale: http://www.shaneco.com
