Thanks everyone for all the help on the Royal Asscher! After considering everyone's advice, I decided to go with it: a 1.93 D VVS1 Royal Asscher. Now, I have to put it in a ring. I'm looking for a simple, delicate, micro-pave ring. Cost is no object, so I want to consider all the possible sources for a custom ring. At this point, I'm only aware of Leon Mege. Who else is out there, and how do they compare in price and quality? Would going to Europe yield more options? Are there any major jewelers that do custom work, and how do they compare? I have until the end of the summer to get the ring finished. Thanks in advance! |

Leon is a great one. Also check out Maytal Hannah at www.MaytalHannah.com. she used to work for Beaudry and has done some amazing pieces for pricescopers.

Fanboy, Brian Knox is also a good choice for pave style rings. Do a search on him in PS and you'll see quite a few people who love the work he has done for them. Check out his website here

Date: 5/15/2007 1:39:08 PM Author: fanboy Forgive my ignorance--who is Beaudry? Michael Beaudry is a high-end designer. He doesn't do full custom though. you can check out his stuff on pearlmans website. they carry the line. http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/michael-beaudry-jewelry/rings/ |

the other options are great, but for this type of job I think leon is the way to go! Daniel k also has some great settings for asschers, but I'm not sure if he sells settings alone and he is very expensive.
