I was in Tiff's today messing around with Diamonds, and getting the lady to print me off the reports on 4 Channels Set RBs that piqued my interest. Just looking, not buying, just having some fun, putting them into the HCA and all of that. Well, on two of the 4 certs she let me leave with were the above mentioned measurements. Star Length Percentage and Lower Half Length percentage. THey may have been on all the reports I have seen before, but if they were I missed them. BTW, for those wondering, Tiffs will give you the measurements on any stone in their entire inventory if you just ask. Even when you tell them that you are just looking around and checking out various stones. BTW, the two stones they were on, appeared to be the best stones in sunlight, but the best of the two scored a 2.6 in HCA. Go figure. The other 3 all scored below 2 with 2 of them scoring below 1. In case anyone is curious. So anyone know what these measurements mean and if they are important? Star Length Percentage and lower half length percentage-- Those are the measurements I was referring to. I don't know what they mean. I understand what the HCA numbers mean, well kinda anyway.:)
